Ammersee, 5\*\*\*\*\* Gallery apartment near the lake! A wonderfully quiet location is the historic, award-winning farmhouse from 1835 in the former artists' colony of Holzhausen a. Ammersee. Where once the artists' community "Die Scholle", among whose members, A. Eduard Thöny, Adolf Münzer, and Mathias Gasteiger, farms with their meadows and fields stretched together. In the tranquil air-cure Utting it is only a 10-minute walk along the lake. The gorgeous apartment "Beim Wehnerbauer West" has just been completed (August 2017). It is located on the second floor of the restored farmhouse in the center of Holzhausen. When entering the apartment one is surprised by the generosity and openness of the bright rooms. Here, with a lot of love, an environment was created that embodies modern luxury and at the same time follows the tradition of the house. The very tasteful selection of colors and materials creates a special feel-good atmosphere. From each window you can see the nearby lake and the Alps. The balcony invites you to relax. The kitchen, dining and living areas open into each other and form the generous centerpiece of the light-flooded apartment. On the gallery you will find 2 more sleeping places as well as a nice workplace. In a separate bedroom with direct access to the balcony you are completely under itself. The top modern bathroom with toilet and shower is located next to the bedroom. P. We brought a camp bed in case we needed it, but there were two double beds, a spare mattress with plenty of space to lay it out, and the corner sofa would easily sleep two tall adults. The floors are really solid, we never heard anyone below or next door. The beds were really comfortable (quite firm, which is how I like it, but if you prefer soft you might want to bring a topper). The space is beautifully laid out and the decor is fab. Everything was spotless and of really good quality. The kitchen area had everything we needed, including a coffee maker, and basics like oil, salt and pepper. There is a dishwasher but no washing machine. The views from the apartment are gorgeous, with the Alps in the distance, and the apartment is a very pleasant 10 minute walk from Künstlerhaus Gasteiger, where there is a beach and the Ammersee is lovely for swimming in. Travel into Munich is really easy, using the S-Bahn from Türkenfeld (free parking). Nicki, the host, is very helpful and speaks excellent English. She was really understanding of us arriving very late. There are Edeka and Aldi supermarkets within a 10 minute drive, and an excellent bakery in Utting. Heads up - the apartment is right next to a church, and the bells are rung every morning at 6.30am. I found it quite a pleasant sound and my kids slept right through it, but I guess some might be bothered by it. ##### Alison U. Alles war sauber, genügend Platz vorhanden, die große Küche hatte alles, was wir von ihr verlangten. Frühstück konnten wir per Auto im nahe gelegenen Hauptort Utting besorgen. Ansonsten waren wir natürlich die meiste Zeit mit den Kindern unterwegs, beim Dampfer Fahren, Spazierengehen, oder auch in der weiteren Umgebung. Es ist eine sehr schöne und gemütliche Ferienwohnung mit Blick auf den See und die Berge, was will man mehr. In der Wohnung war alles vorhanden was man brauchte und es war sehr sauber.
