As a woman travelling alone, I felt safe and comfortable staying at Cappadocia Palace Hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect with many restaurants and cafes, atm machines, gift shops, and supermarket nearby. My room was great and loved it, although it wasn't a cave room. The room is clean and spacious, I can even have my yoga excercises in the room. In addition, the staff are friendly, nice, and they helped me arranging my Cappadocia tours. This cozy and charming hotel offers an incredible service to its guests and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful that they make you feel at home and part of their families. we booked all our guided tours and activities with them directly over there and everything was so well coordinated by them, at fair prices. A special thank you to Bekir, one of our hosts who took his own time to introduce us to Turkish culture, which is amazing!! our room was nice and very clean and the hotel is in the best location in the city, walking distance from most restaurants. Fantastiskt mysigt hotell med utmärkt läge i Ürgüp. Lätt att hitta från bussterminalen (otogar), fint hus med mysig matsal, rena och bekväma rum och en jättefin trädgård där man kan sitta och ta det lugnt. God frukost och snabb internetuppkoppling, städning och toalettartiklar. Personalen rekommenderade några jättebra guidade turer och man fick hjälp med allt man behövde, de talar väldigt bra engelska och är supertrevliga och serviceinriktade. TV reception was not good. The hotel is perfectly located in town. The regular rooms are small and, therefore, they are not furnished with wardrobes... Bathroom is relatively small; shower cabin is narrower than your home cabin. However, if you need a special room for your honeymoon, make sure to book a higher class room, there are just four of them. Overall, the hotel is very romantic. Room walls are made of stone blocks, not painted. A really historic place -- a renovated Greek Orthodox church and grounds converted into a hotel. While I would love to go back there, I hope they fix the Wi-Fi so it works in the rooms not just the lobby. The breakfast room was like eating in a church. The employees were very friendly, helpful and kind. The hotel is walking distance to town. The area around the hotel looked like a construction site however, so not very inviting. They were helpful in pointing me in the right direction for the bus station, post office and other places. The real charm for this hotel is the people. They were awesome. When we booked this hotel, the only photos of the rooms available were those of the deluxe rooms - which we only found out when we checked in. Through some mistake of their own, we were upgraded for the first night to a deluxe room, and then transferred to a standard room the next day. The difference is vast. On hindsight I wouldn't have booked a standard room at Cappadocia Palace and am not sure I would have paid twice as much for the deluxe either - there are many nicer hotels in the area with rooms at that price.
