Morningside

Welcome to Morningside- located in Union Pier, the heart of Harbor Country. Stay at this highly rated home, that has been a much enjoyed vacation oasis for the past several seasons. It is the perfect cottage for a small group. The house has an open floor plan with lots of natural light, and decorative fireplace. The back deck is a great space for enjoying the outdoors an has a table for dining and a gas grill. There is also a screened gazebo with couches and a table to enjoy your coffee or lunch outdoors. The home is located just blocks to downtown Union Pier and the Round Barn and St. Julian Tasting rooms. The beach is only 3/4 of a mile from the house. Come enjoy the scenery, beaches, and more!

Great place but...
The house was open, airy and light. Comfy beds, well-appointed and clean. Big issue, was every closet and drawer space were filled with "stuff". Four adult women need closet and drawer space. From the hallway closet to the two bedroom closets, all were stuffed with owner's items. Same for any available drawer space and kitchen cabinets. We didn't mind the usable items being purchased from thrift stores, but the cabinets were being used for thrift store purchases storage. Items totally not needed by guests, taking up needed space. The lockbox idea is good, BUT in the dark, bending down on stairs to open it was near impossible and dangerous. There could be better placement. I would not go back because of those two reasons.

Wonderful cottage!
Third time we have stayed at this location and we are always so happy when we are able to book it. Cozy, home like feel with a great deck and backyard. Conveniently located to restaurants, wineries, and the beach (via the Red Arrow)

My 2 daughters and I really enjoyed our stay at Morningside. It was quiet and clean and very nicely decorated, with everything we might need for our 3 day stay. A nice easy walk to the beach for sunsets, and close to everything we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home with lots of natural light and space
It was a large, beautiful, bright space with everything we needed. It was close to everything and fairly priced. We had a problem with the front door but LuAnn was quick to respond and had her repair guy there immediately. We have stayed in multiple places over the years in this area but this place was the best. It is a short drive straight down the road to the beach or walking distance if you have the time and aren't loaded with stuff.

Comfortable accommodations
Morningside is a clean, comfortable place to stay. They have extra beach towels, cool packs for your cooler and a beach wagon. It is easy to slip out onto Red Arrow Highway and get to wherever you want to go in the area. Our only wish is for quieter bathroom fans and lights over the bathroom mirrors. Otherwise, everything is great! We enjoy it so much, this is our second year to stay here.

Perfect location for exploring the area.
This was the perfect location for our stay splitting our time between Warren Dunes and New Buffalo. This house is in a quiet neighborhood with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Time
We went to Morningside for Fathers day weekend which happens to also be my husband’s birthday. We had 4 of our children with us and it was cozy. We loved the bright, openness of the main room and there was a bottle of wine and popcorn as a greeting :) The Wi-Fi was great(kids you know) and the little downtown area was fun and easy to get too. We had a couple of issues with the outdoor area and the dishwasher but the manager was responsive and helped with alternative solutions. It was great family time!

Great Place for a Girls Weekend!
My friends and I went to a beer fest. So we made a girls weekend out of it! Perfect location for privacy, and great food nearby. The place was clean and comfortable. We will def use this place again!

Comfortable and clean
Just left after a week of perfect weather and accommodations. My wife and two adult children shared the house, which was bright, cool and cozy. Classy place, well maintained, but not extravagant. Enjoyed the grill and fully equipped kitchen, outdoor/indoor dining, firepit, TV access to streaming services. Walked daily to beach, 20 minutes away. Did not need to communicate at all with property manager. Would stay there again!

Perfect MI Cottage
Thank you so much for the perfect cottage near the lake to get away to! The cottage is well appointed with all the necessities for a weeklong stay, although we only had time for a handful of days there. The space is open and airy, with the best skylights making it so! Perfect sleeping arrangements for our family of 5! It had the best throwback feel to it, we just adored everything about it! Also in a great central location to everything in Harbor Country, but tucked away on a quiet street! Communication with the host was fantastic, Leighann even made sure to tell us of a potential hive issue outside by the AC unit, right away upon arrival. They also had the cottage ready for us earlier than check in time and let us know! A nice plus!! We can’t wait to stay here again, and hopefully for a weeklong stay next time! 😊

Nice quiet, convenient house!
The property was clean, convenient and quiet. Our group of six was easily accommodated. We were running out of toilet paper and they had more to us in less than a half an hour.
