The short walk down to the beach and Wild Pacific trail made it a perfect spot in Uclulet. It was two couples and our small pup. There was ample room and beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels (even for our dog). The small kitchenette had everything to prep food. Overall it was a great place to stay. We absolutely loved our time in Ucluelet and our stay at The Salty Dog certainly enhanced our experience. The cabin offered everything we needed and more. I will miss beginning my morning with a cup of coffee while watching the tide rise from the balcony. A short stroll to the beach or 15 steps to a trailhead made this cabin perfect for us.Bryan is also a tremendous host and was very responsive with any questions we had. We also got to witness the annual herring spawn right from the balcony as it took place right in the inlet at Terrace Beach this year! There were sea lions and we even saw a fair amount of whale activity just outside the inlet, while enjoying some refreshments on the upper balcony. The place was great for a family.
