Nice beach themed decor, somewhat comfortable furnishings. The cons, paint chipping on the walls and ceilings. Large place on the ceiling, above the dining table, where the boards have buckled. Particles dropping from that area in to our food and drinks. We could hear the scurrying of critters in the attic area as well. The gas grill was moldy when I uncovered it. The deck was slippery, as well as the rocks in the pergola area. Kitchen was equipped with enough plates and silverware.There wasn't anything other than 3 coffee cups and 1 glass, as far as drinkware was concerned. Everything else in the kitchen was adequate.The cottage is located in a great neighborhood and in a great location, a short walk to the lighthouse and a short walk to the island brewery... ##### Mark F. Convenient to the beach and to restaurants. The house itself reminded us of beach cottages. We stayed in in the 1950s.— a bit too much. The property was not clean, with visible algae growing on the outside and windows. Inside, the ceiling was falling in, there were several cracks in the walls, holes in the floor, peeling paint, and mold on the kitchen surfaces. The bed sheets were dirty and stained, and I even found a dirty used razor in the trash can. These conditions were severely misrepresented in the pictures. We ended up leaving within an hour and did not stay at the property. To make matters worse, I had to wait two hours on hold with VRBO to even get a refund for the property, and I still haven't gotten the refund. Vacasa, the property manager, does not take action, has extremely poor communication, and promises to 'have the local team' address the issue, yet they never follow up. This rental needs a lot of work and cleaning. It is definitely not worth the rate. I would not recommend this place to anyone. ##### Josh N. My only issue was the bedding was not clean when we arrived, it smelled sour, and it took a whole day and a half to get assistance on the matter.
