This three bedroom one bath home has all the upgrades you'd want to see with a full makeover while still retaining it's historic charm. The original vaulted ceilings and heart pine floors give the home character, where the open kitchen with imported Italian Carrara marble counter tops and brand new stainless steel appliances give it functionality. Amenities include a 50" HD Smart TV with cable and wifi connectivity and an in-unit washer and dryer. There is a master suite with King bed, large closet, and en-suite bathroom, a bedroom with 2 full beds and a twin daybed, and a queen bedroom. All beds are outfitted with crisp white linens. The bathroom has a double vanity, tub/shower, and a full laundry center. The bathroom is supplied with bath towels, soaps, toilet paper, and laundry essentials. The generous kitchen has full sized appliances including a dishwasher and garbage disposal. The coffee maker is a standard 12-cup drip-style coffee maker. We supply cutlery, cooking utensils, dishware, drinkware (including coffee mugs, glasses, wine glasses), pots and pans, cooking sheets, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, paper towels and trash bags. We also supply salt, pepper, cooking spray, coffee, sugars, and powdered creamer. The backyard is great for relaxing on the patio to enjoy a nice summer breeze. The property is a few short steps from Jaycee Park that has playgrounds, ball fields and is a part of Tybee's bike path network. The beach itself is a 4-6 minute walk away where there are remodeled public changing areas, showers and restrooms. Not to mention, North Beach Bar and Grill and the lighthouse are just next to the beach. There are two parking spaces for guests located on the side of the house next to the fenced-in yard. The shared pool is a 30 second walk to The Barracks. ​​​​​​​Pool Seasonality: The Barracks Pool is open year-round. It is heated on the following date range: October 1 – December 15 March 1 – May 30 The pool is not and will not be heated from December 15 through March 1 as the air temps are too cool to maintain an adequate swimming temp. Cleaning Precautions: After each guest checks out, we have professional housekeepers clean each vacation home from top to bottom with disinfectant, wiping down all surfaces and floors. All towels and linens are professionally laundered and individually vacuumed packed until needed. When the housekeepers are complete a member of our team inspects the home, using gloves and/or disinfectant wipes, to ensure nothing was missed and restock any cleaning supplies. The bedroom that shows two beds actually has a small twin bed as well. The beds felt very clean. There are plenty of bath & beach towels, no need to pack beach towels! Wish that would have been more clear in the description but no big deal. It was great to have a washer and dryer. There are virtually no cleaning supplies which would have been nice. As a family with small children it would have been nice to have a broom and vacuum to keep things tidy . Walking around on the sand we brought in got annoying. Coffee maker works! Dishwasher was hard to get started , there’s not an explicit “ON” button, maybe that’s just me being stupid. We had to buy toilet paper and paper towels by the end of our week stay. We started with two rolls of TP and one roll of paper towels. The pool was really nice and a very short walk. Walk to the beach was very doable. We decided against a golf cart because parking on Tybee was pretty easy. Parking at 5 Meddin was plenty of room for 3 cars. Overall, it was a great stay ! The location is perfect - the beach is just down the road a bit and on our bikes we were there in a couple minutes. We biked all over the island, and even the south side was only about a 15 minute ride away. We loved the decor of Crawford - updated and cute. The layout worked well for us on a girls weekend, with the 3 separate bedrooms. The pool (pay additional fee to have it heated above 65 and it is perfect) and lovely park were family favorites. The walk to the beach and lighthouse was quick and easy to navigate. Only complaint would be we were told the pool was heated. It was ice cold and called to ask and was told it’s only heated to 65 degrees to prevent freezing. That’s not the same thing as telling people the pool is heated. I expected it to be still usable with weather in the 70s but it was not. Ice cold. And that was a major consideration for us in selecting a place. But otherwise everything was great. ##### Brandon C. Short drive or walk to all the restaurants. Amazing week spent on Tybee Island. The shared pool was great my son loved it. Short walk to the beach so we didn’t have to pay for parking. The only recommendation I would have is to add another tv into one of the bedrooms. The one TV in the cottage is a smart tv (not connected to cable) and requires logins for all of the apps in order to watch any sort of TV...which was somewhat of a pain. Other than that, everything was clean, clutter-free, easy, and the location cannot be beat!
