Sleeps 6! Our home is brimming w/ coastal charm, boasting a light-filled interior & a fully-equipped kitchen! Perfect for a laid-back beach retreat. Enjoy views of the Lighthouse from a private screened porch, and fire pit & head out for a sunset stroll along the water before indulging in a late-night bite at a local restaurant nearby! Regardless of where you end up booking on Tybee, before booking please look up local events/parades, road work, possible future storms, weather and tides. Traffic can be backed up due to major events or an accident on the island, or changes in weather like rain lead to a lot of people leaving the beach all at once, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and know what's going on! If you decide to go into Savannah for the day, plan ahead for your return at night. It is fully recommended to do this research in advance and to monitor radar on your stay. Tybee is a super fun place and our Island loves to have a good time. We often have fireworks for major holidays also which are well attended. During a Full Moon, especially on a Super Moon, a high tide or even a King Tide can happen which is when the tides are even higher than normal. While very rare, it is possible, water can also cross over the main road US Hwy 80 coming onto and leaving the Island so please plan ahead for that. The city and county may close roads temporarily as it isn't safe to drive through water so you may need to plan accordingly to arrive early or later to the Island. All pets must be preapproved before booking. We do not allow cats/other animals. \*Dogs are WELCOME! However, you must indicate the size, breed, and age in your booking ahead of time, so please do not instantly book if you intend to bring a dog (Pitbull or Bully Breeds, Cane Corso, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Dobermann or Any other aggressive breed are not allowed). A pet fee of $100 will be required per pet (2 pets max) and must be paid prior to check-in. Please note that on the 7th day of your booking, you have the option to pay for a second cleaning to have fresh linens on the bed and new towels. Neighborhood is safe and walkable. Cottage as described and with easy access to the beach. The property has many amenities…corn hole, games, and a fire pit in front with plenty of chairs. The light house can be viewed from the screened porch. A dog park was nearby as well and our dog enjoyed seeing new sights including the chickens down the street. There wasn't enough information on how to use the Roku system. That should have been in the guest info book. The bath soap bars were terrible. Kind of like using a rock. No sudsing a very hard little piece of soap. There was a saucepan in the kitchen that had not been cleaned. There was also a dirty spatula. This should never occur. The house was immaculate and around the corner from the beach. We especially enjoyed the outdoor games that were available. My husband had morning time on the screened porch while I slept in, enjoying the MOST comfortable bed! We cooked one night and ate out the others. The kitchen was well organized so we found everything we needed. We had ample room to sit around and enjoy time with each other. Check in was convenient and communication with Jenny was great. Next time, however, I will plan in advance to try to rent a golf cart. The renters beside us had several and never had to get in their car. This little beach cottage was PERFECT for a sisters weekend. We had plenty of space, close access to the beach, and could still easily pop downtown for dinner. The space was just what we needed for the 3 of us. One of our favorite places was the screened in porch where we could see the lighthouse and play games during the cloud bursts. The kitchen was tight but had everything we needed. The pots and pans were thankfully newer and in usable condition. We would absolutely rent from this person again. ##### Jennifer E. It is perfectly equipped with what you need cooking wise, bed/bath wise and entertainment wise. They have lots of games for indoor (Jenna, monopoly, Life) and outdoor (big connect 4, big Jenna, corn hole)! The screened in porch was FABULOUS day and night! Convenient washer/dryer in the master. Cannot say enough good things. We alternated beach days and your days and we saw tons of Savannah and the surrounding areas. We used the public beach access at 2nd Ave most often on beach days. We loved the beach and how it’s not crowded like North Beach (we have always stayed right at the North Beach access). Once we found the closest access, it was just a short walk for our family (kids 4,7,9). I don’t recommend taking a wagon through this access since the path through the dunes is significantly longer than a busy public access with a long boardwalk. The house was clean and we loved the screened in porch. The perfect place to keep all our beach gear and sit up at night and listen to the rain. Outside rinse station was great as well. Host was very available through messaging and checked in multiple times throughout the week. We will definitely look into staying here again on the future.
