The layout is a bit odd - its a basement walkout, so all the rooms and furniture had to fit around the concrete pylons for the main house upstairs. In the pictures it show chairs looking at the fireplace. If you actually set up the chairs that way to enjoy the fireplace you can't use the door to get in and out. You have to move the chairs every time you want to leave. The kitchen was very small because of a massive oversized cabinet. The bed was very uncomfortable. My wife had to sleep in the kids room because of her back hurting so much. The out side sitting area was very loud and uncomfortable due to the house upstairs A/C units. I wish the listing was more clear that you are staying in a renovated basement. The only windows to look out were in the kids room and the master bedroom that looked at a wall and the house next door. The A/C units do not keep the place cool. Luckily we packed our own fan and used a fan that was provided to attempt to keep cool at night. We keep our house at home at 72\. The lowest you can go at Serenity at the Sea is 70 and never got that cool. Other than one spider in the bathroom the unit was clean. Location was nice. Easy walk to the pool, restaraunts, and beach. ##### Larry B. I can't speak to peak season activity but we only saw a few people use the Inlet beach access point during our stay. The views from the beach were stunning and the beach felt very secluded which was perfect for us. As expected while visiting during the off season, not as many businesses kept regular hours but we were able to find places to eat. We would definitely recommend Pier 16 which is a mere 2 blocks walking distance from the condo. The condo is a tight fit but perfect for 2 adults and small children. The patio was lovely and they even provided a grill for us which we unfortunately didn't get to use. The space was well kept and there were extra amenities you don't normally find in other rentals. The only issue we had was that the washing machine door would stick and had to be pulled pretty hard to get it open, not a big deal at all. Perfect walking distance to beach and places to eat. The apartment was clean. However, the listing was very misleading. From the pictures and description you are lead to believe it is the whole house with a great screened in porch and perfect views. It is not an entire house, it is the bottom level of a house and there are zero views other than dunes. We would still stay here again, just wish the listing didn’t have us believing we were getting the whole house vs the ground floor of a home. Also, the king bed is very uncomfortable and uneven (head of the bed is lower than foot). ##### Erica W. One thing we didn't realize until we received the check in instructions was that this is a downstairs apartment. Looking at the pictures, we assumed we would be in the upstairs and it never specifically says it's a downstairs or basement apartment in the description. The apartment was very nice and fit our needs well though. The kitchen is small with the table in the middle so having more than one person working in the kitchen at a time is a bit tight. I loved that the beach was a short walk away and the yard out side was small but pretty with palm trees and it has a hedge along the public beach access bordering the property so it makes it pretty private. There was no one else staying on the property while we were there although there is the upstairs apartment and another house attached to the one we stayed in. We loved the use of the two bicycles and used them a lot! We didn't get to use the kayaks that were there, although had we stayed more than 3 days we probably would have. There were several negatives. One being the keypad. The number 1 on the pad had to be punched super hard to make it work and sometimes we had to try the code several times before we were successful. Also the bed is comfy except it has a massive dip in the middle.
