Located just behind the Historic House on the Hill, better known as the Manor, these centrally located apartments are private, close to everything and secure.  
The property is located in a neighborhood with primarily older, tenured property owners. The area is quiet and private. It is within walking distance of the campus eatery that is located at the main gates on campus next door to the campus bookstore and novelty shop. It is located next to the Tuskegee University athletic fields and courts. When these events occur, they can be seen and heard from this location. Enjoy the mellow tunes of the Crimson Piper Band.

- ![Tuskegee University, one of the largest historically black universities in the United States, is a private university located in Tuskegee, Alabama. It was founded by Lewis Adams, a former slave, and George W. Campbell, a former slave owner.  Adams asked that an educational institution for blacks be established.  After Foster won the election, $2,000 (per year) was allocated from the state general budget for such a school to be located in Macon County.  It was officially founded on July 4th, 1881, with Booker T. Washington, then a 25-year-old teacher at Hampton Institute in Virginia, as its first principal, a position he maintained until his death in 1915. Tuskegee acquired university status in 1985. It suited our needs for a couple of nights while we moved our daughter into her dorm at TSU. The location was great! However, it was hot and the window ac unit is a bit undersized for the space. It’s in the main room but if you keep the br doors open and the ceiling fan on high, you can get through the night (unless you’re really hot natured, like my wife). It’s an older quiet neighborhood. We had an Amazon delivery routed there that sat undisturbed overnight. Really good communication from host too!

#### Hidden Gem 

Love this place. Property is quiet, has everything needed to be comfortable, relax and enjoy this home away from home. Kitchen is great and the screened in porch provides relaxing with a breath of fresh air. Can’t wait to return! The host provides great support & prompt communication throughout our stay. Check-in and out was seamless. Appreciate the opportunity to stay here a true hidden gem in beautiful Tuskegee!
