Considering hosting an event or gathering? Please feel free to reach out and see how we can help. From planners and florists to catering and DJ`s, we have all the available contacts you need. Even if you want the place decorated for an occasion, we can make it happen.
We know its not all play all the time, that`s why we have provided you with well lit, ample workspaces to be as productive as your little hearts desires, equipped with a solid printer, 2 separate desk spaces, basic stationary, and internet.
This kitchen is ready to go. From oils, spices, herbs, and seasonings to fully equipped appliances and gadgets, this kitchen begs for you to come whip up some grub. If cooking outside is your thing, you have to go check out the grill. It`s calling your name.
Traveling with kids? Perfect. Our bunk room is not just for adults, but for the little ones to come set up a bed sheet fort. Stocked with fun games, kids` books, and indoor snowballs to get down on some good ole` snowball fighting. We`ve got it covered.
Movie night? Yup. Check the cabinets for some popcorn and hot chocolate. Grab a blanket from the living room basket, dim the lights, and snuggle up on the couch. Each room, but the bunk room, has a TV in case you like movies in bed.
Wanting complete serenity? This is the place. The backyard is set up perfectly to face a direction of your choice and dig deep into yourself to find the calm place away from the busy world out there. With all the sounds of the desert nature, from birds at day to coyotes at night, you are sure to get lost in the magic.
You`re going to love it here. Come step inside la puerta azul.
As a guest you have the entire property at your disposal (except for a locked storage area full of useless things). Explore the desert, jump in the pool, recharge in the hot tub, shower outdoors, then come on in. We want you to fully embrace this experience, so unpack, hang up your clothes, fill the drawers, cook some food, and feel at complete ease with it all. You deserve it.
There is ample parking, but please be aware that it is all dirt and gravel, which means that its not the best for peeling out. Take your time.
Feel free to explore the pool bins to find all the coolest pool toys, totally rad floats, and more. Everything you need to splash how you like.
I live just 10 minutes away. If you need anything, please don`t hesitate to reach out, even if its just for a recommendation to a restaurant or trial head.
The property is located on the west side of Tucson, near the Saguaro National Park. The neighborhood is a dirt road community where most homes have modest acreage and neighbors are several acres away. The neighborhood is very quiet and neighbors are nice. The property is very peaceful yet only 8 minutes from most major stores. The property has two trails directly connected, one on the east side through a wash and one on the west side through some open desert.
The property is set at the end of a dirt road. 4x4 is not necessary, but works a little better. Besides the 2 trails on the property, walking the road is a great way to explore.
It`s a desert. While the backyard is fully walled-in, the rest of the property is the Sonoran desert. This means its blanketed in unforgiving cactus that prefers not to be touched. It`s a great time out there, just be mindful.

Beautiful location and view of the mountains. Enjoyed both sunrise and sunset. Great set up, well equipped. Overall very happy. Location was the best part, only 15 min from Old Tucson and Arizona-Senora Museum and Saguaro NP. Highly recommend
Everything about the property is well-thought out and done to perfection. From the decor, amenities, and location; La Puerta Azul does not fall short in any aspect. Rob is very responsive and friendly. We couldn’t ask for a better host, or place to stay. This property gives anyone who may stay here a flawless taste of the Sonoran Desert.
The home was beautiful, it was such a nice area a little far but not too far in Tucson. The home is such a comfortable place to be in. The commutation was amazing, no issues at all. Will definitely be coming back in May!🙂
We had a wonderful stay at La Puerta Azul. We visit Tucson often to see family and this was the best VRBO experience we have had. The house was clean, decorated beautifully and very well stocked with everything we needed. The owners were very easy to communicate with and very helpful throughout our stay. The location is definitely off the beaten path but that is one of the best ways to visit Tucson. My kids love listening to the wildlife at night and exploring the area. We hope to visit again soon!
We had a great stay at this warm and welcoming desert home! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The property is thoughtfully maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The kitchen was fully equipped, the living spaces were cozy, and the bedrooms were perfectly comfortable. The decor was fun and quirky, adding unique charm to the home. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and attention to detail throughout. The ranch feeling made for peaceful desert surroundings. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable desert escape with a beautiful views and a fun outdoor pool and patio!
This house far exceeded expectations for our family gathering. Even with 8 people cooking most meals the house felt roomy, quiet, and so comfortable. The outdoor space is amazing-- including the huge agaves and the Meyer lemon tree with an abundance of fruit. It was very easy to get to incredible hikes in the nearby mountains and parks. The interior decor is a little funny but regardless we were ready to move in! Note that you really need to wash all ALL sunscreen and other oils before getting in the hot tub-- we did have a charge at the end because the water clouded up and it's expensive for them to replace the water. Overall, kind and flexible owner, attentive property manager, and we can't wait to return.
Our recent stay in Tucson was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived at the beautiful home near downtown Tucson and the University of Arizona, we knew we were in for a special experience. My husband’s initial reaction was that I had “hit it out of the park” with this rental choice, and I couldn’t agree more.
Despite being just minutes from the hustle and bustle of city life, this home felt like a secluded oasis far removed from civilization. The peaceful surroundings enveloped us in tranquility, making it easy to forget about the stresses of everyday life. The comfortable interior of the home was just as inviting as the outdoor scenery, providing a cozy retreat during our stay.
One of the highlights of our time at the rental was exploring the nearby wash on foot each day. The hot tub offered a relaxing escape after a long day of sightseeing, and I found myself drawn to the front porch gliders, where I spent many hours taking in the stunning views. Not to mention, the beds were a dream to sleep in – incredibly comfortable and inviting after a long day of activities.
The owners of the property clearly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, providing thoughtful extras that enhanced our experience. From the moment we arrived until the day we departed, we felt welcomed and cared for in every aspect of our stay. It’s no wonder that we fell in love with this home and are already dreaming of our next visit.
Our time in Tucson was simply amazing.
My friends and I stayed at Rob’s property for a weekend of fun in Tucson, and we found the best place to all hang out was right at the house! can’t recommend staying here enough. Plenty of sleeping space, hanging out space, great kitchen, cool design, solid speaker setup, and it felt private from other homes around.
The house itself is great, but the place is a little difficult to find with the signage/cell phone service on the dirt road. There are also only 5 beds + air mattresses not the 7 beds in the description.
