Permit #: STR21-00698 Max Occupancy: 10 Parking Spaces: 6 The Space: Welcome to Truckee Pines Retreat, a fitting name for this relaxed family home in the heart of Truckee that offers exclusive access to the Tahoe Donner Trout Creek Recreation Center. With a game room, and open concept living space, you're sure to make plenty of memories on your next getaway! The home provides an open-concept layout giving you sightlines to enjoy each other's company and be a part of the conversation. The living room features a beautiful wood-panel peaked ceiling, TV, gas fireplace and ample seating on the cozy sectional. From the living room, you gain access to a large deck outside with patio seating and BBQ. In addition to modern, stainless steel appliances, the kitchen comes fully equipped to meet your needs with a coffee maker, toaster, blender and more! Enjoy whipping up delicious meals together on the spacious island that allows for plenty of prep space and has stools to seat 3\. Steps away, enjoy more formal dining or break out a board game at the long table that seats 8-10 with a bench. The home has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 10 guests comfortably with ample space and soft linens. Sleep soundly in the master bedroom with Queen bed and deck access. The en-suite is equipped with a soaking tub, stand up shower, and dual sinks. The 2nd bedroom offers a Queen bed and also has deck access. The 3rd bedroom has been configured with a Twin bed and 2 Twin-over-Double bunk beds. In addition to the master bathroom, there are 2 shared bathrooms that have a shower/tub combo and serve the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms. Hours of fun await in the game room complete with an air hockey table, foosball table, and wet bar. THINGS TO NOTE: \- A bear box is located at the end of the driveway for safe trash disposal \- The paved driveway has space for up to 5 vehicles \- In the winter months, tire chains and 4WD is necessary \- The washer/dryer in unit is available for your use Truckee is a small town in Northern California with some big time soul becoming a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts in recent years because of its access to an endless list of outdoor attractions. The historic downtown Truckee is a 10-minute drive where you can enjoy shopping, dining, and historic walking tours. Donner Lake, under a 10-minute drive, is a freshwater lake where you can catch some of the biggest trout in the state of California! In under 25-minutes you can be at Northstar California Resort, a popular destination for avid skiers and mountain bikers that offers additional offerings such as; spas, pools, kids camp, and more! A drive to picturesque Lake Tahoe is 25-minutes or less. STR21-00698 Please note that requests for late checkout must be received no later than 10:00 AM local time on the day prior to your departure. It's not "hours of fun" it's a disappointment.This home has no "bells and whistles" and feels like an old Motel 6\. The carpets are stained, no cushions on the couch, not even a washcloth in the bathrooms, lamp or nightlight. The barbeque barely had enough gas to finish cooking our chicken. There were no instructions for the TV or thermostat. I have rented a few houses in Tahoe Donner where you know the owners care. I cannot say the same for this house. ##### Jeanne B. My group and I had several glaring issues with this property. Check in was a disaster. The door code given to us did not work. We tried to contact the owner's, but they did not respond. We had to contact Vrbo directly and after 2 hours, we were able to get the code for the emergency key. The Vrbo lacked basic necessities such as soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. The Vrbo has strict cleaning rules, but did not provide trash bags or cleaning supplies to complete the chores. The Vrbo claims that is sleeps ten people, and while there is bed space for ten people, there are less than ten pillows and blankets in the cabin. This made sleeping ten people very uncomfortable. The hot water barely worked. After about two showers, the hot water would completely run out and would take hours to heat up again. There was an unplugged carbon monoxide detector in one of the rooms. I am unsure whether this needed to be plugged in or was just clutter they left in the house. Overall this was a poor experience and I would recommend everyone to avoid this Vrbo. ##### Mantej D. Also in one corner of the down stairs had a spot that was full of cobwebs that had not be clean in some time. The coffee pot was full of mold. The location was great and was just a short drive into town and the amount of beds was perfect as there was 9 people in our party. ##### Amanda G.
