Historic downtown Truckee is a 10 min drive where you can enjoy shopping, dining, and historic walking tours. Donner Lake, under a 10 min drive, is a freshwater lake where you can catch some of the biggest trout in the state of California! Northstar Resort is 25 mins away for skiing and snowboarding! There is a short 10 mins drive to get to Safeway where you can use Tesla Supercharger while grocery shopping. Getting Around: Truckee is car-friendly with easy highway access to nearby resorts, lakes, and trailheads. Winter travel may require AWD/4WD or chains. Dining, cafés, and grocery options are within a short drive, and local ski resorts are easily reachable. A spectacular separate dining room and the livingroom to sit by the fire separate from the TV area worked great. One bedroom downstairs with the master bedroom upstairs with the small "room" for kids. Everyone was comfortable with heat upstairs and down. The beds were very comfortable.
