We will provide you with a printed house manual and digital guidebook to help answer any questions that may come up. There is so much to do at Donner Lake! Enjoy paddle boarding, boating, picnics on the Donner Docks, hiking, biking, water activities, and the Donner Museum. You are an 8 minute drive to Truckee, and a 10 minute drive to downtown Truckee. In Truckee, you will find a lot of restaurants, shopping, outdoor stores, and more. Just down the street from the home, there is a local market you can walk to in under 5 minutes. West End beach is just up the road - about a 9 minute walk. Take your morning coffee and sit out and enjoy the peaceful lake. Bring a picnic down and spend the day swimming in the lake! You can also head to the public docks on the North side of the lake - about a 5 minute drive. We are also close to our favorite breakfast spot - Donner Lake Kitchen - only 3 miles away. You will also find a small market, Sticks Market, where you can find groceries and pre-made items. Donner Lake is a wonderful spot for a family vacation throughout the year. Because our lot is flat, you don’t have to worry about getting up and down steep hills or driveways! We are very accessible. Plus, you can escape the traffic of Tahoe and really enjoy a vacation on the lake without the hustle and bustle of being on Lake Tahoe. Guests will have private access to the entire house, with the exception of a few locked owner's closets. It was very clean and well stocked, and we had plenty of room. Having stayed in a lot of rentals over the years, I appreciated the quality of the items- thick fluffy towels, a well stocked kitchen, and even a cordless vacuum for quick clean-ups. Very clean, looks just like the pictures, and very comfortable and cozy for six of us! Although it is small on the outside, the inside has the perfect amount of space. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs and the fire pit and BBQ did not go to waste! Cat was incredibly helpful and communicative before, during and after the trip. This adorable cabin is so modest from the outside and yet offers so much more than meets the eye. The inside is open, spacious and cozy. The fireplace is the centerpiece of the home, encouraging relaxation and peace. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and had everything you would need and more! The rooms have large, comfortable beds and provide a nice flow to the space for multiple guests. The bathroom was spacious and clean and provided a ton of clean towels as well as a washer and dryer. And the back yard, even in the winter with snow, was the perfect addition to the cabin for those with dogs who need to go outside when you don’t want to take them for another walk! The neighborhood was charming and friendly. The Memorial Park just minutes away is one of the prettiest places we have ever been to walk with our dogs. There were dogs everywhere and so many families. Downtown Truckee is paradise. Every place offers unique foods, baked goods, coffees and of course all of the amazing local shops. We got a large percentage of our holiday shopping done downtown and all the gifts are special. For those who fish, the area couldn’t be better. So many areas to access the Truckee river and Little Truckee that don’t require long arduous hikes. Our 2 teenage boys, my 76 year old mother, and my husband and I loved our stay (as did our dogs.) We were very sad to leave and cannot wait to come back to this wonderful getaway. Cat, the owner, was super friendly and helpful and made me feel like I was renting from a friend. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. This cabin a gem. ##### Carrolyn L. Caterina made this experience smooth and reassuring. Beyond that, this place was the perfect getaway. Nestled in Truckee, we enjoyed the location and coziness of the cabin. The decor was very calming and relaxing with backyard space for our dog to enjoy some play in the snow. Can’t wait to come back this summer and enjoy more of this place. ##### Steven H.
