While it isn't directly on the sand, having our own private deck was a very worthwhile trade. The view of the beach from the deck, living room, and front bedroom was great! The walk from door to chairs-in-the-sand was still only about 2 minutes. We stayed during a week (not weekend) in late August, and the beach was lovely but delightfully not crowded. Note that while the apartment was "cleaned" well (hygienically speaking), the floor was quite sandy (understandably!). (Not a criticism, just an observation.) Particularly due to the current COVID-19 situation, we brought groceries to make all of our meals. We were able to make everything we planned, with some creativity. To make full use of the kitchen, you should consider bringing your own cookware and cooking utensils. We would love to stay here again in the future! ##### Gregory F.
