The Heart of the City is a sunny, private 2nd story suite in an historic home. A large balcony for lounging & comfortable living space with TV/WiFi and kitchenette welcome you. A high-ceilinged bedroom with king size Tempurpedic mattress with Euro-style hypo-allergenic coverings and black-out curtains encourage great sleep. Enjoy a spacious bathroom with over-sized shower with massage head, and deep, over-sized sink. Located just two blocks from Massachusetts street in the heart of the city.

Near everything off Mass St.

Quaint upstairs apartment in older downtown Lawrence area, just 2 short blocks from lower Mass St. We were able to walk to all the stores and restaurants downtown with ease as well as walk up the hill to the KU campus for the football game in about 15 mins. Neighborhood was quiet, neighbors seemed nice. Note, the owners also use the upstairs of the house which share the A/C, so it would be good to communicate that prior to setting the air up/down.

We enjoyed our stay. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to downtown, nice deck, the property was clean upon arrival, check-in/out was easy, the host was friendly. We would definitely stay again!

Great Location

This VRBO was the perfect hub for our trip to Lawrence. It’s close to Mass Street and all the restaurants, shops and coffee spots that has to offer. Check in was easy and the owner promptly responded to all communications. I would recommend this place for your Lawrence visit.

Lovely place and great location!

This place has it all! Spacious and clean rooms with lots of amenities… you will want for nothing! The host was responsive and very nice too. Wonderful location… walkable to so many places! The only thing I would recommend is to modify the VRBO map location to be closer to the actual location (which is on Rhode Island, between 9th and 10th if you’re wondering). But this may be a maps or VRBO thing. I would 100% stay here again!

The property was on a quiet neighborhood street two blocks from the heart of Mass Street where you'll find lots of bars and restaurants. The property was adorable and has very comfortable beds and furniture in the living area. The bathroom is huge and the shower has fantastic water pressure! Nice lighting and decor. I used one of the yoga mats they supplied for a workout as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Location

The property was easy to find with clear check in procedures. It was clean upon arrival. The bathroom has beautiful light for doing makeup and hair. The bed is comfortable and extra linens were provided. Location is perfect - just a short, safe walk to Mass St.

Conveniently located to historic district. Second floor walk-up. Not handicapped accessible. The television only had Roku, not cable. Could not obtain local broadcast channels like NBC and Fox. Notwithstanding, enjoyed the property. Owners pleasant and helpful.
