Quiet Country Ranch Barn Apartment!

  • Welcome to Cowboy Country! This is a 2 bedroom 1 bath barn apartment on a small working ranch. We raise American Quarter Horses here as well as Registered Corriente cattle. Also present on our property you will find horses, roping steers, 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, 2 cats, 2 dogs and 1 donkey named Hillary. On Wednesday nights we have team roping practice in our arena (weather permitting). We are “horse friendly” with stalls available for an additional fee.

Overall it was ok..... the bed in 1 room was so high had a hard time getting on it and it wasn't super comfortable......but we stayed one night and it was sufficient.

Excellent experience! My hosts were exceptional, warm and inviting. Melissa felt like a friend within minutes of meeting her and made me feel right “at home!” The property is beautiful and waking up and looking out my window or stepping out onto the patio for morning tea and seeing horses grazing - incredible! I’m moving to the area and hope to stay at Melissa’s wonderful property again. Thanks Melissa!

Beautiful property!! Incredibly well stocked and clean. Rooms were cozy, furnished beautifully! Great place to unwind and enjoy some quality time, hope to come back again soon!! Horses were lovely to watch and get to know. Buddy was the absolute sweetest, such a good dog! We will miss him most of all!!

I had the best time relaxing here this weekend. Spent most of the days hanging out at Glen Rose and in Granbury, and enjoyed quiet nights at “home” with the animals and lots of peace and quiet. The apartment had everything I wanted and more! Hope to be back soon. Thank you so much!

We absolutely hated to leave this property! The "barn" apartment was decorated so well for the overall theme and was so comfortable. The location was perfect for all of the activities we had planned and was easy to find. The animals were all so friendly (horses, donkey, goats, dogs, barn cat) so we spent a lot of time visiting and petting them. The kitchen had everything you could ask for if you plan on cooking. Our rooms/beds were comfortable with good size closets. Both bedrooms and the family room all had tv's if you're planning on watching a movie. We definitely plan on returning!

This place is awesome! It’s very comfortable and peaceful. It’s the perfect location to explore Bluff Dale (The Front Porch and the Vineyard), Tolar, Granbury (La Creperie) and Glen Rose (Bull Lion Tasting Room). Loco Coyote was fun for dinner & entertainment, too! We’ll be back for a longer stay for sure - so much more to adventure!

This was a great place to stay on our way South! Loved how this cute apartment was decorated and it had everything we needed in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
