Best points:- the river is beautiful: lots of opportunities for carp spotting and scenic walks. - all basics are nearby (supermarket, convenience store etc...)- choice of two local train stations (Oji and Itabashi) to get into Tokyo city, plus a busThings to consider:- this isn't the 'hip' part of town, but is great for families. - trains are 15 min walk away, although there is a bus at the end of the street- Japanese-style beds are not for everyone, so be aware! - the stairs to the upper floor are quite steep, so if you are afraid of stairs, consider this... - there is no TV, which suited us, but may not be ideal for someOverall, we grew quite attached to this place and would highly recommend it!
