The host was very friendly and service minded. He offers pick up services and could recommend places to visit as well as nice places to eat. He was very keen on us having the best out of the visit!One minus was our 6th bed. It wasn’t really a bed - it was home made version that was uneven and uncomfortable to sleep on. The house is a beautiful Japanese home in a quiet neighborhood. My wife, four teenage children and I all slept comfortably. We were able to purchase groceries at a nearby grocery store and try cooking traditional food. Train station was about an eight minute walk for us. As great as the home is the best part is Shin-san, our host. He made us feel comfortable and went above and beyond what I would expect from a host. Shin answered our questions and helped us navigate our busy trip, which can be challenging for foreigners in Japan (none of us speak Japanese).
