LAUNDRY: The building also offers shared laundry facilities with a pay-per-load system for added convenience. BAKERY: there is a delicious bakery located right in the building where you can enjoy a morning coffee or fresh bakes good. Make sure to pop into Savory Island Pies Bakery located on the first floor! A few building notes: \*\*this building is located in downtown Tofino, a high-traffic area, and can be quite noisy during the busy tourist season, which runs from June through September. \*\*The unit does not have air conditioning, so windows are typically kept open to allow for airflow. However, this can also allow more noise from the surrounding neighborhood to enter the space. \*\*For this reason, we do not recommend this unit for guests who are sensitive to noise. \*\*Additionally, blackout blinds are not provided, so the unit can be quite bright in the early mornings. Guests who prefer a darker room may want to bring a sleep mask for added comfort. History: Fred Tibbs building was named after an eccentric pioneer. He purchased an island off the shore of Tofino and called it 'Dream Island' and as popular local folklore goes he was known to play his clarinet at the top of a lone Spruce Tree on his island. There is a grassy area outside with stone picnic tables perfect for tide watching and enjoying your fish tacos! Fred Tibb's is conveniently located in-town, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and ample tours if you are up for an adventure. \- Host Rules: Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation. Age min: must be 23 years or older to book. Max Occupancy: 3 guests total ( can accomodate 4 if you have 2 young children) During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments. 3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays. Pet Policy: ONLY 1 med dog allowed. Sorry not Cats! Many options for dining although the apartment has everything you need if you want to stay in and cook. There’s a pie shop directly below the apartment which is both good and bad. The only complaint was that the room was hot, really hot even in October with the windows open and the heaters turned off. The space was very clean and well equipped. The views were spectacular and location was convenient for getting to main street. The host communicated well which made for a smooth visit. The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable- our only complaint was that the property is directly above a cafe which starts baking (noisily!) at 5am - luckily 3 of our 4 nights were weekend/closed days so only one morning of noise!. A warning of this might be worth considering. The property agent was very helpful when we had issues with the self entry system. Overall, a wonderful stay. ##### Les T. Loved that there were Delicious pastries and coffee at Savory Island Pie Company right in the condo complex. The water views were just as perfect as the pictures portrayed.
