I was a solo traveler without a car but was able to take advantage of a seasonal bus service along the Pacific Rim Highway between Tofino and Ucluelet to get into both towns. The hospitable owners were also happy to give me a lift to Tofino if our journeys coincided. Very clean. Very friendly owner. No complaints either than hotels.ca need to separate the two suites at this location (one being the Blackbear guesthouse and the other the cedar room). One has a kitchen and the other one does not. Complimentary bikes and rain jackets. Very friendly and informative host. Close to beautiful Chesterman beach but a bit far from town and most restaurants however there is a free summer shuttle that runs until around 7-8pm. Overall a great time! The cabin was warm and inviting, the kitchen was well stocked and they even included an emergency bag if needed. Great host, very personable. The cabin is just inches from the main house so if complete privacy is what you’re after this may not offer as much privacy as some need. For our family though it was wonderful, the loft bed in the hidden little nook was really cool.
