This centrally-located home is truly lovely, and has everything you come to the mountains for: a private, quiet gated community with expansive views! Gather around the fire pit, soak in the hot tub, dine al fresco, or just chill on the deck and gaze out at the mountains. Eagle Ridge is the perfect home base for your Blue Ridge vacation. Entering the main level, you'll find the towering great room, with a wall of windows overlooking a breathtaking long range mountain view, comfortable seating, HDTV and an inviting stone fireplace. Just flip the switch for fireside ambiance! The great room also offers a full-size pull out sleeper sofa. The space opens onto the covered deck and into the lovely, updated kitchen, which has granite countertops, stainless appliances, and is well-stocked with all the kitchenware and supplies you'll need for entertaining and family meals, even your very own Keurig for fresh coffee in the morning. Your friends can sip a cocktail with you at the large kitchen island as you cook. The main dining table seats six and is situated just off the kitchen steps away from the covered front porch where the grill master in the group will be delighted to find a gas grill. There is a second dining area situated in a lovely bay window nook between the great room and kitchen. The cabin ambiance continues into the main-level master bedroom, with its comfy king-size bed, HDTV and private bathroom, featuring a dual vanity, large jetted tub and separate shower. Step straight out onto the deck from the master, to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or a late-night toddy. There's an additional half bath on the main level as well. The upstairs guest room offers the extra luxury of a second king bed and HDTV. In addition, you'll find a charming loft family room with plenty of seating that is full of books, puzzles and an array of board games to get your family game night in the groove. A giant bean bag chair, recliner, full-size futon, and daybed with trundle not only offer the seating you need, but will accommodate sleeping for an additional 3 guests. From here you can easily access a huge variety of attractions and outdoor recreation. Historic West Jefferson is only 10-12 minutes away, where you'll enjoy restaurants and terrific shopping, including antique stores, art galleries and wine tasting. Check out the famous Ashe Co. Cheese Factory, with an old-fashioned country store. There's Craft Bistro for fine dining, two breweries and even two movie theaters! Mountain Aire Public Golf Course is also a 10-minute drive from Eagle Ridge, and within 15 you can be at Mt Jefferson State Park, with hiking for all skill levels. The cabin is beautiful and so spacious. We were a group of 9 and there was enough room for everyone. The kitchen is fully equipped. We enjoyed prepping various meals as a family. We were impressed on how nice the cabin was inside. The owners sure put a lot of thoughts into the decor. The Master room was enormous and had a great view to the mountains. Since we were two families staying together, it was hard picking who got the master room. We all wanted the room. I suggest making the first level (basement) into another master room :). Our kids loved playing with the pin pong table and the various board games provided in the cabin. Will definitely consider booking this cabin again in the future. ##### Jael C. It was absolutely beautiful and decorated so tastefully. The location was great - close to West Jefferson and 30 minutes from Boone. The homes and properties around the house were beautiful as well. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table as a family and the view was nice! The master bath and laundry area was amazing. We loved having updated kitchen and bathrooms - it just made our stay even nicer. My only critique is that there were a few cleanliness issues - very small, picky things but it made me question the cleaning services prior to us arriving. A few cobwebs here and there, grubby remote controls and the stairs and loft area didn't seem to be fully vacuumed. But otherwise, the home appeared to be neat and clean and we would absolutely stay here again. ##### Heather W. It was in great condition, plenty of linens, bedding and utensils in the kitchen. The views were great, each night, it was awesome to see the sun set over the mountains off of the main deck. We searched for weeks before deciding on Eagle Ridge which ended up being the perfect choice! Our checklist was mountain views, hot tub, enough space for us to spread out and have our own space (me, fiance, and 2 kids), and ideally something that felt like a cabin with nice amenities (my fiancé's request). We were very pleased as this property checked all these boxes and then some! Property management was great and helpful. This cabin is very well thought out. Tons of games and activities. If you are looking for a place that you don't have to leave this is a great choice. Cozy gas fireplace, hot tub, and jetted tub...don't threaten me with a good time! Pictures did not do the view from the front porch justice but they did represent the area well. We all had a blast playing ping pong although none of us were good at it lol I thought a pool table would be great in the basement but the ping pong table ended up being fun for us all. Driveway up is a little steep but passable for us with no issues in a FWD sedan. There are multiple parking spots before going all the way up perhaps for additional guests/multiple vehicles or if there is ice or snow could see that being useful. Lutside and inside this place was very well maintained, clean, and the kitchen was amazing too! Beds were super comfortable (fiance loved the comforter sets), and the loft upstairs was a cool spot to hang out with the oversized bean bag. The master bedroom is HUGE! Few things to note that maybe we missed or would be helpful to future guests/property management. We were not able to locate a hair dryer, and there is an awesome firepit outside but you have to provide your own firewood. No big deal though as there is a guy 1.5 miles down the road that had some available for $5/bundle. We left some behind for the next guest :) Just wasn't sure if there would be some on site as I didn't see that specified at time of booking. All things considered the hair dryer/firewood were both very minor details that did not take away from our experience in the least. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a clean and nice cabin with amazing views! We look forward to our next stay :) ##### Zach W.
