8.6/10 Excellent! (1,174 reviews)
Overall, my stay was “eh.” Pros: Most of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, the s’mores night was awesome, I enjoyed the free arcade games and rental items, and the adjacent restaurant had great poutine! Cons: The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly, the bathroom fan didn’t work, the shower temperature was difficult to regulate, and the shower head seemed clogged/water didn’t come out very well. The room often smelled faintly like cigarette smoke (perhaps from the HVAC vent?), so I had to keep the window open during my entire stay. The carpet was a bit old/scraggly and should probably be replaced. Overall, the room seemed a bit run-down. If you didn’t look too closely, it looked nice—but once you started using the items and taking a closer look, it was clear that it’s an older property that hadn’t been kept up past initial appearances. The restaurant/kitchen side of the hotel was clearly understaffed (though those working did a GREAT job—truly, bravo to them!!) and the continental breakfast was the worst I’ve ever experienced at a hotel, with very limited options—more like a “snack to tide you over before getting a meal” than an actual meal. Ultimately, my stay was functional and the problems weren’t “big” enough for me to decide to spend valuable time and energy talking to staff about them… But if I visit Portland again, I’ll definitely look elsewhere for lodgings.

This place is good. The pics online made it appear much nicer. The rooms are small. There’s a huge sitting area but the vibe is sort of boring. Low energy. The widows are filthy, but I’m sure it’s hard to keep them clean. We were supposed to receive a free bottle of wine but when we checked it the attendant didn’t say anything about so I had to ask the next day. Really nice fitness center!
