I've stayed in many hotels. In Tianjin I've stayed in the Astor, the Westin and the Sheraton. Though not as lively as the Westin, or as charming as the Astor, it is the better all around hotel of the three. The staff is wonderful, the food in the restaurant is the BEST and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I can't speak for location or night life as, to me, it's pretty much the same anywhere in Tianjin. Service on the other side is very polite and friendly, the food is expensive, but good. As a whole, 3 stars hotel as a maximum. I can see no reason for anybody to ever go there, prices are up to 3 times higher than any other hotel of this class.. The staff are excellent. Room smelled musty, carpet was from the 1990's. Really needs a makeover.
