Guests have access to a 4 person hot tub overlooking the lake as well! It is a perfect place to warm up after a long day of skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing or snowmobiling! The dock is brought in for the winter (usually sometime in October) and put back in the water in the spring (around May). Occasionally, the property managers may be on the beach/grass for beach/property maintenance, but the beach is private. For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have 4 security cameras around the exterior of the premises. They are always on and recording video. There are 2 at the front, one at the side and one in the back. There are no other cameras on the premises. We are always available by phone, email or text during your stay. Nestled in a peaceful and quiet residential neighbourhood, our home provides the perfect retreat for families and couples seeking a relaxing getaway. The neighbourhood is not suited for parties, and we kindly ask our guests to keep the volume to a reasonable level by 9 pm to respect the peace and tranquillity of the area. Midland has a public transport system. The house is located in Victoria Harbour which is a short 10 minute drive from Midland. There are taxi services in the area as well. \*Note About the Beach\* - Georgian Bay water levels have changed drastically this year and daily. You may not see the beach depending on the water levels during your stay. There is, however, a large grassy area right by the water that guests can use (see photos). Hoggs Bay is a wonderful place to spot wildlife such as swans, geese, ducks and herons. It is generally calm and perfect for paddling a kayak and canoe around the bay. The conditions in the lake are also always changing and depending on the water levels you may experience more weeds when swimming. We recommend bringing water shoes and if you\`d like any recommendations on some of the other amazing beaches in the area feel free to ask! We have a maximum occupancy of 8 guests on the property at any time. Exceeding this limit may result in a request to leave, and additional charges for extra guests will apply. Our puppy, Mac, especially loved running around and lounging in the grassy yard. Perfect for the 7 of us. We all had our own bedrooms. The hot-tub was a perfect addition. We had everything we needed. A little over priced, also had some maintenance issues with bathroom door not closing and kitchen faucet not working properly. Very nice host and clean house. Would not recommend if you want to swim as the water is swampy with fish and frogs quite dirty and the front of the water looks unkept as well as an old dock. If you like canoeing and kayaking, good option. The lower bedrooms are freezing, almost damp feeling, not pleasant. Overall okay, but personally would not stay here again. Nearest beach that’s sandy is almost 20 minutes away. ##### Helen P. We loved sitting around the large kitchen island while we cooked together and enjoyed our family time. All four bedrooms boast luxurious beds and good temperature control, providing everyone a restful and comfortable sleep. The hot tub and games room provided a space to relax and have fun too. A multi-use trail is a 4min walk from the cottage. The house was spotless and so inviting from the moment you enter through the doors, I highly recommend it! ##### Aura A. The cottage is beautiful and comfortable.. checkin qas a breeze and Nicole was very helpful and responsive to all my questions precheckin The only concern we had was that the aircon was too hot upstairs and too cold downstairs We had a great time here and highly recommend it!
