No better place for a Florida Keys Getaway than the beautiful Ocean Pointe Suites of Tavernier. Located between Key Largo and Islamorada you get the best of the upper keys. Within driving distance is John Pennekamp Coral Reef National Park where you can take glass bottom boat tours, snorkel tours as well as fantastic diving trips. This community sports an array of amenities such as a fantastic swimming pool, boat ramp and dockage, as well as a full service bar/restaurant (hours and operations may vary)all within the gates. Enjoy the convenience of the on-site paddleboard and kayak rentals (additional daily charge for these items)
Just a short walk away from the pool area, our beautifully renovated unit is in building 2. This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo features updated bathrooms, tile flooring, and modern upgrades like granite countertops in the kitchen. You can have a relaxing vacation within the community or as a resting spot between outings exploring the keys!

Marina Slips and trailer parking is available on a first come first serve basis through the Ocean Point community. If you wish to bring a boat down please inquire first to ensure storage space is available. Boat reservations MUST be made before arrival.

Jetskis, campers, unapproved trailers, RV's and pets are prohibited within the community.

Please note there is a 2 car max per reservation.

Enjoy the convenience of on site paddleboard and kayaks within the community. (additional charges apply)

Great place in Tavernier!

Our family had a great experience at Ocean Pointe. The condo was an excellent price and had a great amount of space for our family of 4. There were a few minor problems with the door code but the management company resolved both in under an hour. The kids loved the pool, there was always space and great people any time we went. Location was good for a few outings to other Keys as well. Overall this was a wonderful place to spend a few days in the Keys! Definitely recommend

A so so first experience with VRBO

The two bedroom condo was in a great location for exploring the Everglades, the Keys and Key West. We started with a clogged bathroom sink and the second one slow draining. We called the next morning and by noon on A Sunday a plumber came and fixed both problems. The shower curtain in one bath had mold . The dishwasher did not work, even after a repair person came out. We had no dish drainer! Under the kitchen sink were two 10 gallon paint containers. I felt that the company responsible for preparing this property did a very poor job. How could one not know a sink was clogged, when it was cleaned?One cannot see the water from the balcony, but a short walk to small beach. There is a decent short order grill and bar we enjoyed. If you have a boat, this appears to be a good place for launching. Ending on a positive note. The pool is wonderful.

The apartment itself was quite dirty, had few amenities, and was not very comfortable. The light right outside the apartment door (not the owner's fault) meant that the bedrooms were never dark. The grounds were fine and the location too.

Updated condo. Beds comfortable and plenty of towels, dishes. Kitchen well furnished. Would be helpful to have blackout curtains as condo unit right at stairs as twin bedroom were brigher at night. We'd stay at Ocean Point again. Friendly, safe, and protected. Easy access off Burton Dr. Unit had 2 dishes that were dirty upon arrival and sticky cabinet handles.

A little Positive, a little negative

I will say the amenities at this property were fantastic. The downside was the cleanliness. The floors were extremely dirty. There were also a few awkward DIYs in the place. We couldn't open the microwave door, and the dryer door, but the outdoor pool was heated and had a hottub. Just wish the place was cleaner.

Last-minute trip to the Keys

My wife and I came down to buy a boat we found online. Beat it up. Nice place to stay with lots of great amenities and security that didn’t break the bank. Place was nice but a little deceived by the pictures online would definitely stay again for the price.

Nice facility with wonderful huge pool where I swam laps by myself every morning and evening. Cute private beach with a wharf out over the ocean. Nice that it is a gated area so very safe, and it was quiet. The condo was great for two couples, with bathrooms for both. The kitchen/living area was a good size. Just needed a bit of easy tender loving care - like new towels, some tissues, paint spots done. Travernier is a good location with grocery stores, restaurants, and beaches - and not too far from Key West or Miami.

Ocean Pointe base for the Keys

This was our first experience with the Keys - and we will be back. It is the Caribbean in America, and even better. Our condo at Ocean Pointe was a little tired, and several of the amenities were not available (restaurant and pool bar) but that did not ruin our stay. The pool was perfect. the beach great and the food truck Jojo's was great. We was people playing pickle ball and tennis. We really only slept at the condo but it was clean, the beds were really comfortable and everything worked. The property manager Star had excellent communication and the gate staff was very efficient. We kayaked, visited Islamorada, cycled in Key West and enjoyed dinner at Skippers Ice House and Marker 88.

Beautiful Sunrises 🌅

It was a a comfortable condo but older. Gets were very comfortable - table to sit at could use cushion on chairs- very hard to sit in. Could really use some upgrades. There is absolutely “No storage” for groceries that need no refrigeration. Plates were few-sure could use more dishes in general. Can opener didn’t work- rusty and stripped- had to borrow one from a neighbor.? Cookware a little more selection in size and maybe a better quality. We fixed 2/3 of meals in condo - so cooking utensils and pans could have been better. The oven took forever to get up to temperature/ shade I’d have that looked at. So the stay was OK. I’d it hadn’t been for the beautiful sunrises- review work of not he that favorable- mostly due to lack of storage on the kitchen and the second bedroom. Really need to make improvements on that some how. Drew and company were really terrific and responsive. Would stay at their properties again and only this unit - if more storage on kitchen is available and dishes and cookware better too.

The property was awesome and in a great location. Disappointed that the pool house cabana and marina clubhouse were closed. The only negative comment is the lack of bath towels and wash cloths in the unit. Overall a great place.
