Très bel endroit
Personnel pas au niveau d’un hôtel de luxe peu aimable. Il a fallu insister pour avoir une chambre tranquille à l’écart d’un groupe de 50 américains très bruyants. À part cela l’endroit est extraordinaire et les chambres sont confortables

Petit bijou perché sur une haute coline, avec vue splendide sur la baie de Caldera, la presqu'île de Guanacaste et le Pacific. Chaque chambre est une petite construction individuelle, nichée dans la jungle ma avec une vue dégagée sur la mer. Style général: Je dirais petit palace italien des annees '30 mais avec tout le confort du 21e siècle. Déco raffiné, personnel avenant, cuisine délicieuse, piscine à débordement a couper le souffle

Hôtel à la valeur du coût!
Wow quel paysage! Hôtel à flanc de montagne! Nous avons l’impression quand on arrive d’être d’important. la route de 2 kIlometres nous amène à la réception! La plage est plus ou moins belle mais la piscine la remplace bien. Et quoi dire des coucher de soleil! On mange bien.

Le cadre est somptueux, la vue de l’hôtel incroyable, le personnel charmant, attentionné, réactif. En revanche la nourriture du restaurant n’est pas à la hauteur du lieu ni du prix.

Faboulous hotel on the pacific
Faboulous hotel! We stayed as a family 2 adults + 2 young kids) in the "villa" rooms which had great views : partial sea partial jungle! The pool is very nice as the private beach. The restaurant gets full early so be aware and make reservations ahead!

Le personnel pas aussi fantastique que la vue.
Il s'agit d'un site exceptionnel, la vue est fantastique et le site superbe. Toutefois, on parle ici d'un 5 étoiles et le personnel est loin d'agir comme ce que l'on attend d'un 5 étoiles. Le service est plutôt lent et le personnel peu souriant. Nous avons eu droit à une chambre bien ordinaire pour le prix payé, même si l'hôtel n'était pas plein. Cette chambre était située près d'un cuisine et nous avons entendu des bruits provenant de tuyaux dans le mur presque toute la nuit alors que les gens devaient faire la vaisselle tout près. L'hôtel offre une plage privée et on doit prendre une navette pour s'y rendre, et l'aventure est intéressante. Toutefois rendu au bord de la mer, il n'y a pas de plage ni de sable, on parle de roches et il est très difficile de se baigner. On trouve tout ce qu'il faut pour s'étendre ou se protéger du soleil ainsi que des douches, toilettes et services de restauration, toutefois le service est médiocre et il fallait que je me déplace pour aller chercher quelque chose à boire.

Très mauvais rapport qualité prix, l'hôtel est très cher pour la qualité d'hébergement Qu'il propose. La literie est de mauvaise qualité, les draps sont usés. Le personnel est dépassé et peu réactif. Le restaurant est excessif par rapport à la qualité de la cuisine proposée.

Nous n'y reviendrons pas, argent et objets ayant disparu, le manager ne nous a pas paru sincèrement désolé et nous avons du insister pour 1 geste commercial. Nous étions nombreux et sommes restés 1 nuit de +. Venant régulièrement au CR , ils ont perdu des clients.

Even though it was completely booked, it felt the opposite. Private, secluded and friendly, not to mention breathtakingly beautiful at every turn, we felt like we were one of only a few there. Place was very clean and nice, but that’s about it. Hot water didn’t work so we took cold showers. Asked one guy and told him what room we were in and he said he’d let them know. Never got fixed. Water for the toilet ran at all times. I tried to fix it because I was still waiting on them to fix the shower but that didn’t happen, so I gave up and just let it run. I’ve been going there for years to the pool and pool bar and never had an issue. I had read some reviews about bad service but I didn’t think it would be that bad. I was wrong, it was horrible. The dining was not good, food quality or service. I wasn’t even going to leave any kind of review until I finally had enough today. My wife went to the pool bar to order us some drinks and no staff was there. Waited 10 mins and still nothing, so she went upstairs to the bar by the restaurant. The bartender told her he’d be down there in a few. 22 minutes later, still no bartender. Went back upstairs to order drinks, and she finally came down with a beer that was barely chilled, was more warm than chilled. So I went upstairs and the other bartender was apologetic but at that point I wasn’t happy. It’s frustrating paying a premium at what seems like the nicest place in Jaco area and have that bad of food, service, etc. I will never again go there and I've been going there since 2017. Sad to see such a nice place be such a disappointment.

The Villa Caletes is one of my favorite places. The setting and views are amazing. The hotel is exquisite- with architecture matching some of the most luxury inns in the world. It does not disappoint in this regards. I was somewhat disappointed with the bed this time. I could feel and hear the springs. I will be back for the view but might stay elsewhere.

Very beautiful location. The views from this property are stunning. We had a private hot tub with our room and that was great to have. The restaurant was nice, a little pricey and they didn’t offer a free breakfast. Parking is also a little awkward and it’s not within walking distance to anything. We had a car and were able to come and go without a problem. But the property itself, gorgeous. The rooms were clean and beautiful and the staff were all very friendly! Would definitely recommend.

Awful rooms. Absolutely not worth the price point
This was like visiting a hotel from the twilight zone. The grounds are well maintained and the views are beautiful but the rooms are in a terrible shape. The room we got smelled poorly, the furnitures were run down, hardware in the crowded bathroom were broken and rusty. The linens were thin from use, far from white crispy linens you would expect from a 5 stars hotel that charges $600 per night off season. The room decor was extremely distasteful in tacky red and black, so dated. The room is located where you cant access carts so getting to the room was steep and slippery, having to get to it in a really rainy weather, felt unsafe. The door keys didn’t work, power dropped, wifi reception is inconsistent. Staff at the front desk was standoffish, didn’t offer a different room despite asking a few times. It was so unpleasant we tried to avoid staying in the room except for sleep I was extremely uncomfortable there. Total waste of money. Service was inconsistent, restaurant was ok. If you want to see the views pay for a day pass. So disappointed. See pictures attached: the pics on the site are misleading.

The property itself is breathtaking. The staff is top notch! Unfortunately the original hiking trail was closed due to the country’s struggle to get back to normal after the pandemic. Transportation into town is costly so it’s best to rent a vehicle if you can. Property not recommended for small children.

This is a five star hotel in my book. The property is beautiful, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food and service at the restaurant are top notch. We celebrated our anniversary there and moved tables twice. Once we moved away from a table with small children that was noisy. Then we moved again to be inside. Once inside the temp was still warm so they turned on the AC for us. There only concern was our comfort and experience at their hotel. Hotels of comparable price, in the states would never do this. It was an amazing stay and we plan to return there for a longer stay for our 10th anniversary.

Points forts : Propreté, service et personnel, état et installations de l’hébergement et confort de la chambre.
Lively hotel
One night. Very comfortable. Lovely service at check in, bar and dinner. Food high quality. Although price at higher end, definitely better value than other places we stayed for similar or higher price. Highly recommend if you are looking in this price range.
