Beautiful Adobe-style, custom home with magnificent panoramic view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Slow down. Take in the scenery. True to its name, step outside to watch the crimson hues over the mountain range at every sunrise and sunset. Alternately, stay cozy indoors to unwind, read your favorite book by the fireplace, or gaze at nature from our walls of windows while sipping your favorite drink. This well-appointed, comfortable home tastefully displays a collection of southwest pottery, paintings, lightings, custom stained-glass artwork and other collectibles in every room. It offers 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The home is located in the coveted Blueberry Hill area, next to one of Taos’ main paved roads. No 4WD or lengthy drive on spine-jolting gravel roads is involved! Home sits high on a 3-acre lot with privacy fence. It is 5.5 miles from Taos Plaza and a quick, easy drive to restaurants, shops, sights, and outdoor recreational activities including fly fishing, biking, hiking, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, white water rafting, and golfing. The first master bedroom is complete with a wood-burning fireplace and an en suite bath with double sinks. The second master bedroom also sports an en suite full bath with double sinks. Both en suite baths have large walk-in shower for easy, convenient access. The third bathroom is located next door to the third bedroom, and it has a bathtub and shower combo. Each bedroom comes with a king Sealy's Premium Posturepedic mattress, and each bathroom comes with luxurious towels. The spacious 21' x 25' great room truly speaks to quality family time as it provides multiple seating areas and a collection of table games for the young and old. The house has an ideal chef's kitchen. All sorts of cookware, cooking utensils and serving dishes are provided for any size meal sharing. Eastern Star Retreat is a single level, modern, custom-built adobe-style home. No sunken living room or baths like many homes in this area. No steps or spiral staircase to climb or maneuver. Certainly, convenient and safe home features for all members of the family. The radiant floor heating system under the Saltillo tiles provides gentle, even, warm air throughout home in the winter months. In the warmer months (from late May to September), the evaporative cooling system naturally changes the warm, dry air of this region into cool, moist air inside the home. You will feel instantly welcome and pleased as you enter the house and are presented with a foyer, a fireplace and a majestic mountain view. A true family get-away vacation! In the event you find the need to stay connected with the information highway, the high-speed fiber optic internet is in place for you. Kitchen is well equipped with dishes, glassware, cookware (but could really use a large skillet) and spices. Jacuzzi tub outside was very nice and very big. The property instructions are everywhere - almost everything has labels, rules and instructions and while that was nice it was also borderline too much.
