Somehow we get blamed for “breaking the bed” and charged a ridiculous amount (more than we even paid to stay here in the first place) without the owner even trying to reach a resolution via communication first. The “proof” provided was very obviously staged, and we still cannot rule out whether they broke it themselves. Charging over a thousand dollars as a deposit to stay is absolutely insane and we should have realized it was a scam before booking. Don’t repeat our mistake! Calling this an apartment is also misleading, it’s more like a college suite.
