Jan 10, 2020 Disliked: Check-in, communication #### Cold miserable night in the car Had a great experience the first time around, not so great on the second time. On the second stay, me and the kids ended up sleeping in the car the first night, under very cold weather even though we had arranged for access to the property that had already been paid in advance. We had car problems and were late, but arriving time was never a condition. Despite multiple attempts to reach the owner, we were not getting a response. We slept in the car and the next day almost had to leave, not knowing where we will go. All plans and big commitments for that day went down hill. Finally, hours after the sun was out, we were able to get in and only received a simple apology from the husband of the owner in acknowledgement of their defaulted action. After all the inconvenience, I received credit for half of that cold and miserable night that we slept in the car. Once inside however everything was clean and in good shape. It is an older house but this did not take away from the stay. Some of the bedroom windows could have used blinds to keep out the morning sun but not a big deal for us. We were very happy with what we got for our money...until the air conditioner went on the fritz the second day of our 2-day stay. The owners tried as best they could several times to get it working but it never did work well for more than a few hours at a time, unfortunately on one of the hottest weekends of the year. The place is comfortable for three people though if you share a bed could accommodate more though there is only one bathroom. Owners were very responsive and helpful and they even have a visitors guide if you are unfamiliar with the area. I would definitely return if the place is available for future visits. ##### Randy B. It was cozy and comfortable. Access to/from downtown to the house is very easy. There was an impressive collection of books and local information thanks, ostensibly, to the manager's husband who is a librarian. The Smart TV with Roku was a plus. The kitchen could use remodeling, but I'm sure that would drive the price out of the excellent value range the unit is offered at now. Dec 2, 2016 #### Like coming home We rented this house while up in Tallahassee seeing the 20 year anniversary reunion shows of a bunch of bands I played with when I was in college. We picked this home because it was in the neighborhood we lived in many years ago. It was just like coming home. This house had everything we needed and is close to everything down town. If you are looking for fancy, this is not the house for you but if you're looking for a simple and comfortable place to stay, this has everything you need. ##### TJ J.
