The open floor plan showcases floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake and forest, creating a tranquil indoor space. Indoors: • Well-equipped kitchen and farmhouse table • Sunroom with panoramic views • 50-inch Smart TV, DVDs, and electric fireplace • Loft with a full-size bed • Main bedroom with a queen bed and AC unit • Bathroom with small, single-stall shower and essentials Outdoors: • Fire pit, bistro porch, and deck with lake views • Weber gas grill for outdoor cooking • Landings along the stairs to savor nature • Boat dock, kayak rack, and Adirondack chairs for relaxation Guest Access: Enjoy the entire cottage, grounds, and WiFi. Please refrain from accessing storage areas. Other Info: • Gravel road (1.2 miles, SUV/truck recommended after heavy rain) • Covered dock for boat parking • Kayak rental available (life vests and waivers required) • Caution on the loft staircase (350-pound weight limit) For larger groups, we have a second cottage a few doors down that accommodates up to 4 more people. Boaters and fishermen, feel free to park your trailer on the gravel driveway or the grassy area in the front of the cottage. Launch at Millie's Marina (formerly Cedar Creek) just 5 miles down the road. Boat rentals are available at Paradise Cove Marina 45 minutes away. 1 wooded acre waterfront perched high among the trees with spectacular sunset views Deck: dining bar area with water view, Weber gas grill Kayak launch and rack Fire pit in front yard Follow the stairs down to the lake and arrive at the dock with views across the cove. Here you can sit and relax, cast a line for some jumbo bass, launch the kayaks, or read a good book surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. Inside: The cottage boasts an A-frame style that creates a large open area feel and offers plenty of space to cook a gourmet meal, entertain friends, or just relax. A fully stocked kitchen with a dining area as well as an electric fireplace for those chilly Alabama nights creates the perfect atmosphere to ensure you and your family are nice and toasty. The kitchen opens to a sun room, offering lake views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It's the perfect spot to cuddle up with someone special or get lost in a good book on the comfy sofa. For entertainment, there's a 55-inch TV ready for streaming the big game or choosing a movie from our DVD collection. The main bedroom contains a queen-sized bed. A modular staircase leads to the loft area with a full size bed. Please use caution on the stairs and help small children. Guests have access to the entire cottage including the fire pit, porch, and grounds, as well as Wifi. Please do not access private storage areas. There is parking in the front of the house for two cars. Other things to note There’s a mile stretch of narrow gravel road leading to the cottage on Kelley Lane that’s in various states of disrepair. Please drive slowly, as there are a few ruts, potholes, hills, and curves. A truck or SUV is preferable, though most cars will be fine. Please use caution when descending the stairs to the lake, especially at night. There are solar lights on the railing to guide your way. Park your boat and trailer on the gravel driveway along the fence, or anywhere along the wood line, as long as it’s off the road. Launch at Millie's Marina (formerly Cedar Creek Marina), 5 miles down the road. Beware that the water in the cove is shallow. Most bass and pontoon boats should have no problem as long as they stay between the white PVC channel markers Alabama Power has placed. There are many stumps and submerged trees throughout the lake. Please use caution, follow all safety rules and regulations, and boat responsibly. There is a Dollar General store about 15 minutes away or a Walmart or Piggly Wiggly in town about 25 minutes away. Please observe quiet hours after 11 pm and before 8 am. Fires must be attended to at all times. Please do not move furniture. It's a cozy place for a stay on the lake, our kids loved sleeping in the loft room! Nice and cool indoors, which is important during the summer months. We liked how well stocked it was, lots of items we packed that we didn't even need. It is located in an area that is great for learning to kayak, especially for young kids. We were in the area to relax, fish, and take in a NASCAR race and this beautifully decorated, modern cottage was perfect. Everything you might need for a relaxing stay is provided. The location is rather remote, so plan ahead. It is well worth the drive and the directions are clear and accurate. We'll be back!! ##### Elden D. Brought food in with me and cooked there. The host was very welling to help with info and accommodated my needs. This trip was about reconnecting with old friends and spending some quality time with one who's health is failing.... Enjoyed the sound's of all the wildlife around the lake! Would of loved to see more water from deck up top, maybe just some of the lower limbs trimmed back or up! Spent every morning and evening down at the dock, either watching wildlife or the sun setting! I needed this little down time myself...... ##### Elizabeth S.
