MERVEILLE has four bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining room and living space - all with views of the valley, 2 bathrooms, separate laundry, high ceilings, French windows and doors, polished floorboards throughout the home, ducted air-conditioning with discrete zones to all rooms, state of the art-security and a huge rear deck which also has valley views and is surrounded by enormous cold climate gardens.
MERVEILLE sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms with luxury bedding in the following configuration:
MASTER BEDROOM: valley views, a separate outdoor deck via the French doors, a luxury KING sleigh bed, quality white linen, built in robes and full ensuite including a 'rain' shower and a therapeutic 30 jet SPA bath and a separate toilet. You'll love our empyrean of relaxation whilst soaking in the views. When you've finished your spa, select a bath sheet from the heated towel rack and cosy up in the gorgeous King sleigh bed to watch your favourite shows on the large 65" SMART HD TV, streamed via our very fast 200MB/s STARLINK internet connection.
2ND BEDROOM, (or a parent's retreat), is the large sunroom adjoining the Master bedroom and has two gorgeous designer wrought iron luxury KING-SINGLE beds, quality white linen, two 3-seater leather lounges and a gorgeous sunny disposition overlooking the valley and gardens.
3RD BEDROOM: valley views, luxury QUEEN bed, quality white linen and built in robes.
4TH BEDROOM: luxury KING sleigh bed, quality white linen, built in robes and a stunning rear garden vista.
All beds have luxury mattresses, quality white linen, individually zoned electric blankets, luxury pillows, doonas, doona covers, extra blankets, mattress, pillow protectors and large soft bath towels. All our linen at MERVEILLE is washed using hypo-allergenic (low-irritant) laundry detergent that is suitable for people with sensitive skin or allergies. Weather permitting, all our linen is line dried to improve freshness and deliver better quality and sanitation for our guests.
Our King and Queen mattresses are superior quality and cannot be split into two discrete beds. All bedrooms have block-out blinds. A travel cot is located in the wardrobe of the 4th bedroom. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN COT LINEN.
MERVEILLE has state-of-the-art 8 zone ducted inverter air-conditioning throughout the entire home. In winter the home is sunny, warm and comfortable. In Summer, MERVEILLE is cool and breezy.
The kitchen, dining and lounge room are open plan with French doors opening to the very large terrace - together these form the hub of the home. The new kitchen is beautifully designed and has gorgeous valley views. It is fully equipped and includes a large pantry, induction cooktop, a double wall oven, a large convection microwave (i.e. three ovens), a French (double) door fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a slow cooker, a rice cooker, a stick blender, and all the typical kitchen amenities. All cupboards and draws are soft close. A high-chair and toddler utensils, cups and bowls are provided. Some pantry staples are also provided: e.g. basic herbs & spices, salt, pepper, paper towels, tea, a starter pack of ALDI coffee capsules and cleaning products.
The dining table accommodates ten people comfortably.
The loungeroom opens to the large outdoor terrace and provides a large comfortable lounge for ten people. Sit back and relax in front of the enormous 75" SMART HD TV, streamed via our fast 200MB/s STARLINK (satellite) internet connection so you can access your NETFLIX, STAN and YouTube! A BlueRay DVD player and a stereo with BlueTooth, CD & radio are also provided, along with a selection of DVD’s, CD's and a decent library of good books for your enjoyment.
The large terrace has valley views, an outdoor dining setting for ten people, an outdoor lounge for ten people and a seven-burner stainless steel gas BBQ. It is the perfect place to relax with your family and friends and enjoy the stunning escarpment and valley views. A spare gas bottle for the BBQ is provided in the laundry.
The laundry is located at the rear of the home and includes two sinks, one front load LG washer and two dryers, (BOSCH and Electrolux). Hypo-allogenic washing detergent, a Phillips STEAM iron and ironing board are also provided.
MERVEILLE has state of the art security. The property is fully fenced and gated and there are no keys - all guests receive one unique security code that opens all gates and doors. The electric driveway gates are simple to use and automatically close after entry. All garden and driveway lighting is automatic. The whole property is protected with external security cameras and security lighting. The smoke detectors are hard wired - there are NO batteries that go flat in the middle of the night.
All lighting in all rooms are dimmable warm-white LED. Most windows have fly-screens.
Note: the main bathroom has been renovated to an acceptable standard pertaining to its original period and includes a shower, toilet and basin. Our planned future extensions for MERVEILLE include moving this bathroom.
There is ample off-street parking for multiple cars, a caravan, boat or trailer.
Relax in the gardens, sit around the brazier as the kids enjoy the swing set. Each garden showcases the stunning colours of the menagerie of cold-climate flowers and the resident lyrebirds, King parrots, rainbow lorikeets, crimson rosellas, whip birds, bell birds, rare black cockatoos and eagles. The gardens are managed and being gradually restored by a professional horticulturalist who was previously the Head Horticulturalist for Federal Parliament in Canberra. There are plenty of gardens for the kids to explore and play games.
The Wentworth Falls village provides gorgeous cafes, restaurants, antique stores, homeware stores, book stores, toy stores, chocolate shops, bakeries and an opportunity shop. Leura and Katoomba, (next door) provide more Cafes, restaurants, bars, ALDI, Coles, Woolworths, BigW, KMart and Bunnings. Woolworths and Coles deliver directly to MERVEILLE - please order via their websites.
Merveille is a five-minute drive to Ice-skating, the three sisters, the scenic railway, horse riding near Blackheath and don't forget the stunning Zig Zag railway in Clarence! There are gorgeous lookouts and bushwalking tracks 60 seconds walk from the front gate.
We offer a renowned, professional on-site chef for dinners, lunches or breakfasts, depending on his availability and at least a fortnight's notice is required. He brings everything needed with him so please contact us for pricing and bookings.
