From the pre arrival communications, to the greetings when we arrived and to the beautiful well equipped cottage. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and made great use of the bikes and kayaks! I’ve never had something quite like it. With the olive trees giving privacy and the open ocean just there. It was spectacular. Everyone who worked there was so nice - at the restaurant as well. They also include breakfast provisions for the first night, which were very nice. I did feel that it was overpriced - for $300+ dollars per night, I would hope they would fix basic things such as the rods to close the blinds, as well as have a closer attention to detail - ex. there were leaves in the bathroom, a bug stuck on to the blanket, etc. I understand that we are in nature and some of these things may happen over the course of the stay, but when I walk into this, I sometimes wonder how well cleaned the room actually was. A very comfortable and spacious cottage equipped with everything we needed. The private sandy beach overlooking the bay where dolphins played provided perfect relaxation. It is a beautifully kept property with breathtaking views. Staff are incredibly lovely and very helpful and the food and wine at the Homestead restaurant was amazing. Highly recommend hiring a car so that you are able to travel around to other areas like Freycinet and Bicheno.
