A delightfully quirky (in the best sense of that word) hotel - a former convent and school - with many of the original features still intact. Easy to find, excellent parking facilities, and probably the most spacious breakfast area we've ever seen.
Comfortable, quiet, and warm room - what more could you want?
Great looking property, the staff were great and very friendly.

Lovely all round stay at The Purbeck House Hotel. Location and setting beautiful. Hotel lovely, room spacious, staff really friendly and helpful, nice little bar and a decent continental breakfast. Thanks Purbeck House. We will be back!
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was fine, with a nice view of the sea. The hotel being situated right in the town was just right for us.
Continental Breakfast was OK.
Room in Louisa Lodge that was very quiet.
But it was a short walk away up a slope (sometimes in the rain).
Staff very friendly.
The hotel is a grand old place with a rich history connected to it, which the owner is more than happy to share with you. Good sized rooms, communal areas and bar. Free, secure carpark. Location short 5min walk to town. Have been before and will come again for sure 👍
Nice clean, comfortable stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only criticism was breakfast started at 0730 which is maybe why I was unable to book it online and had to do so at the hotel, but as I was working in the area it was a rush getting away in the morning! I would book again if in the area.
Probably the best hotel in town and an interesting building. Good accommodation, free parking and well located. We stayed in room 10 - possibly the largest room and were very pleased with our one night stay as part of a week long tour.
To spent our last night in Swanage we transferred from our B&B up to the Purbeck. Ideal location for walkers and location to town and beach . We liked having a lounge and bar for the evening . Bed was comfortable and bathroom standard. Loved looking around the old architecture and period interior detail , a very pleasant stay.
A wonderful place to stay!
We have stayed before when cooked breakfast was available but our out of season stay this time saw a continental breakfast only. Excellent new coffee/drinks machine. Previously we have always stayed in the main building but this time we opted for Louisa lodge. This surpassed our expectations. We will be back.
Staff were excellent and really friendly would recommend the hotel to other people

Purbeck House is right in centre of Swanage and a great location for exploring the area. It is an old historic building that dominates the town. It has good views and interesting grounds.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We had a great chat with the night manager, he was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again.
Absolutely stunning hotel. We stayed on the top floor of a beautiful building, the room was large, clean, and welcoming.
Couldn't really fault anything!
Very nice and comfortable room, with lovely gardens and views. The buffet breakfast was excellent, and the staff most friendly and helpful. Very convenient off-street parking. Would certainly stay again.
Lovely old fashioned hotel, with lots of character and charm. We enjoyed the lovely gardens, they're beautifully tended and full of interesting features.

Great
Great historic building, in centre of town and very close to beach, coast path and railway station. A little tired in places, plenty of parking. Enjoyable stay.
