The terrace was built in 1830 by William Morton Pitt, a Member of Parliament representing Dorset. He had a vision of transforming Swanage from a small quarrying and fishing town into a Victorian seaside resort. \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Chestnuts is very close to the seafront and shops, a short 3 minute walk down Seymer Road. The flat is full of character and comfortably well furnished with three bedrooms on the second floor, two of which overlook the Downs, Swanage Bay and the Pier. There is a WC and washbasin on the same floor. On the first floor we have a front lounge overlooking the Bay with 2x sofas, tv. There is a seperate dining room at the rear of the main house with dining table and chairs. Kitchen is at the rear of two storey rear addition which also benefits from the seperate bath/shower basin and WC. \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Please take off shoes at the bottom of the stairs when entering and place into the understairs cupboard (no shoes inside please). Please hoover up any dirt or spills asap. There is carpet cleaner in the flat. The wireless HIVE thermostat is located by the front door. It's a quiet spot with fabulous views and the flat is comfortable and spotless. Only one thing to note is that the stairs up to the first floor are quite steep.
