The area was very good with a few restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel ambiance was very good, the staff spoke & understood reasonable amount of English and were courteous. The rooms were neat & clean. The two minor irritants were: Breakfast was expensive - almost to the level of rates charged in Hotels in downtown Shanghai and the room deposit was RMB 500/person/night.
