Short Drive to Dining & Shops - CCII102 We are a Minnesota family that has been visiting Surfside Beach since 1985; this unit has been in the family since 1989\. Our condo is our home away from home and is not "across the street," "oceanview" or "second row". We are right on the Atlantic Ocean! Every vacation day begins and ends with the soothing sound of the Atlantic surf and the serene view of blue sky and golden sand. The soft sand of Surfside Beach is just a few steps from the door. Start your mornings watching the sunrise or catching dolphins on their morning swim. We are also not in a "resort" or a crowded high-rise (that has lines for the elevator - NO elevators in this building); you won't have to drive anywhere! There is a swimming pool exclusively for guests and is never crowded. Relax on the lounge chairs while the kids swim. Pool is not heated and closes during the off-season. The living room and each bedroom are equipped with wall mounted flat screen TVs. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has twin beds (with the option to convert to a king upon request - please email southmb@itrip.net to add this to your booking - $15 fee). The living room couch is a queen size sofa sleeper. Ceiling fans keep cool air moving in every room. The fully equipped kitchen has new granite countertops and includes a full-size stainless refrigerator, smooth top stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and small appliances. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, dishes, glassware, and tableware. We also have an in-unit washer and dryer and free wi-fi for your convenience! Additionally, all linens are provided (sheets & towels). Upon arrival, beds will be made and essential items like soap, paper towels, and trash bags will be on hand. You will not begin your vacation by making beds or running to the store! Here, every day offers a choice of shopping, golf, and attractions from the convenient Surfside Beach location, or just relaxing on the balcony or the beach enjoying the sunshine Surfside Beach is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still, a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. There are over 100 golf courses nearby. The Surfside Beach pier, restaurants and shops are a few blocks south from Cape Coddages II. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north is all the attractions and shopping of Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. About 15 minutes south is the Murrell's Inlet restaurant row, said to be "the seafood capital of South Carolina". For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south on Business 17\. It's easy to see that memorable and relaxing vacation days will begin and end here, is it not? PLEASE NOTE: The person renting this property must be at least 25 years old, have a valid credit card, and be present for the entire rental. Parking is limited and we can only provide the number of parking tags allowed by the Home Owners Association. We can provide TWO parking passes for this property and these passes must be in/on the vehicle at all times. No additional parking tags are available. The surfaces were poorly wiped, crumbs all over the floor, did not appear to be vacuumed or mopped. We have a crawling one year old and do not feel comfortable letting her on the filthy floor…Second night we saw two cockroaches within thirty minutes and knew that we couldn’t stay there. We spent the night packing and trying to find somewhere else to stay. It was extremely uncomfortable and not maintained. The only plus about this place is the view, but i would not recommend if you are looking for somewhere clean to stay with your family. ##### Allie F. After staying the N Myrtle and Myrtle for the last 10+ years we loved Surfside as it was less busy and very laid back. Everyone we encountered was friendly. We loved the condo at Cape Coddages, unit 102, it was literally steps from the ocean. The balcony was so close you felt like you were still sitting on the beach. The location was convenient to get to Murrell's Inlet or MB within minutes. Rental was so easy, we arrived after the iTrip office was closed but were able to easily get our keys and info from the after hours box. Check out was easy too, as we just dropped our keys off in the key drop and left. The office was super close to the condo, which made it easy to check in and out. Would definitely recommend both iTrip and Cape Coddages. ##### Susan R. When closing the refrigerator door, you have to make sure the freezer door remains closed because it pops open & vice versa. We paid the additional fee to have the 2 twin beds coverted to a king bed. This wasn't done when we arrived and had to wait an additional 6 hours before this was taken care of (well after dinner time!) The beds are beyond HORRIBLE!! It was like sleeping on concrete slabs the entire time. I don't have back issues, but I do now!! My back has never been so sore! PSA: South Carolina public pools were open the week of our stay 6/6-6/13!! The pool for our unit (advertised as part of the rental package) was NOT open with only a sign saying pool is closed. I was in contact with the rental office for 2 days about this issue and inquired about a portional reimbursement due to the fact this is false advertising and we rented the unit because of the pool option! We NEVER heard anything back from the rental company or the HOA (which we were told was in control of the pool). On day 3 a new sign was posted on the pool gate referring to its closure because of social distancing/ COVID-19\. No contact from anyone, just a posted sign. Our issue with the whole pool situation is that there was no mention of pool closure at all on the website, from the rental company or the owners, but they sure as HELL took our money for it!! On Day 4 (Wednesday) we returned from the ocean to find the temperature inside our unit to be 78° and rising! It was after hours and we tried 3 different emergency phone numbers including texting & emailing with no response from anyone until the next day when we called again at 10am. Repairmen showed up the next morning (Thursday) but couldn't fix the unit. The AC unit wasn't fixed until early afternoon on day 5 (Friday) so we endured 3 days with no air conditioning! There were also cockroaches in the unit!!!! Yes, you're reading that right.....cockroaches!!!! They sure as HELL didn't come with us!!! Overall property was good - right on the beach, large indoor and outdoor pool, ocean front. Had issues with the router/WiFi and the dishwasher that took a couple days and several calls to resolve (WiFi was never resolved, we just used another room’s), but other than that property was as expected and our experience was good ##### Ashley G.
