We arrived late at night post checking out the night night market at Surat Thani as check in available until 23.45 :) Please be awake: black elephant boutique and 88 fine hotel are combined. We booked a room in 88 fine hotel and was expecting to sleep in one of the detached rooms as per photos in the booking- however we stayed on the second floor of the black elephant boutique. The stairs are very steep- so would recommend when booking to book first floor if needed! Other than that- room very comfortable- one of th best beds and pillows of this trip so far! Very quiet at night - Couldn't hear the planes or cars. However can hear the people next to us when they are in the bathroom. Coffee and toast with jelly brought to your room at requested time upon check in :).

Three story building. EXTREMELY STEEP STAIRS. No lift / elevator. No proper handrails. Just thin rusty 1 inch rebar that was not secured very well to the wall. The stairs were so steep it was like climbing a ladder. After I dragged my luggage up to the third floor, all I could think about was: IF THERE’S FIRE HOW WILL I GET DOWN THESE STAIRS WITHOUT FALLING? It was about 100 degrees outside and about 110 in the room. AC WAS BROKEN. I decided to go to another hotel. It was more difficult to get my luggage down the stairs than dragging it up. This whole ordeal was exhausting in the heat.

Great basic hotel and convenient for airport

A good hotel near the airport wonderful for a short stay. The rooms were basic but great. They could have just done with a deep clean but I understand Covid times have hit hotels hard. We were on the third floor too which was difficult with a lot of heavy bags as there wasn’t a lift but if there was and we just weren’t told about it then I apologise for the oversight. The staff were lovely and helpful and it really was a good option if in Surat Thani as the hotels in Surat Thani tend to be awful- this is definitely a good option and I would stay again.

Perfekt hotel hvis man skal have overnatningen inden man skal i lufthavnen. Dette minder ikke om andre dårlige lufthavnshoteller. Standarden er meget højere. Der er lufthavnstransport via hotellet for 150 bath. Der er Netflix på værelserne og man kan købe varm mad via Roomservice.

Decent stay if you need to head to the airport

Had to stay near the airport so chose this hotel. It’s very basic which is fine for one day. Get all your supplies before checking in as there are no shops / restaurants nearby. Breakfast is simple, eggs and toast.

Great affordable and nice place close to airport

88 Fine hotel was exactly what I was hoping for. Very close to the airport and a great place to stay before or after a flight. It was spacious and very clean with modern features and a great shower! There isn’t much around the hotel for things to do or restaurants but the staff made us delicious food and brought it right to our room. Highly recommend for a nice affordable stay close to the airport.

Prima hotelletje, vlak bij AirPort Surat Thani. Net nieuw gebouwd. Geen ontbijt mogelijk. Keuken zijn ze nog aan het bouwen. Grote nette kamer met alles erop en er aan. Omgeving onbekend. Een nacht geslapen ivm overstap luchthaven.

Perfect hotel for a 1-2 night layover

Lovely rooms, really friendly and helpful staff, beautiful bath and even a little shop for any bits you might need. Oh and a superrrr comfy bed! Best nights sleep I’ve had in any hotel in Thailand:)

Good for an overnight wait for a flight.

This hotel is only good for a stop over whilst awaiting a flight. The hotel is reasonably close to the airport and the owner will pick up and drop off to the airport for a small fee which is cheaper than taxi fare. The rooms are good but unfortunately style has sacrificed substance, for example why have a big bathtub but only cold water plumbed to it. The shower has 2 options, cold water from the tap or hot water from the zip heater, both spray water all over the bathroom leaving everything wet and slippery. The hotel does not have a restaurant yet and food is outsourced to a local restaurant.,Be warned the food is terrible, in hindsight we should have purchased a frozen meal that can be bought onsite and warmed up in the microwave as I am sure this would have been more edible and cheaper. On the plus side you can purchase beer, soft drinks and snacks onsite and the bed and pillows were of a very good comfortable standard. English speaking TV channels were also a delight as they are rare in Thailand.

Perfect boutique hotel in Hua Hin

Well situated close to the beach, very freindly staffs, parking with security, spacious and modern room with all facilites. All is made to make you very confortable to enjoy Hua Hin a bit away of the big condos and city centre. You need a car or a motorbike to go around.

About 5-10 mins from the airport but in the middle of nowhere. We had nothing to do for 24 hours. Luckily there was a USB stick in our tv with English films on. Staff made us some dinner as there was no where to go for dinner. Did the job as we needed an overnight stay but only for one night

Good overnight near the airport

I needed to stay one night at Surat Thani before my flight to Kuala Lumpur. I was picked up from the Airport with no problems. I was asked if I needed to buy anything from the 7-11 on the way as the hotel is out of the way which I thought was very considerate. The room was very good but with a fair few mosquitoes in the bathroom, however, this is rural Thailand so mosquitoes come with the territory. A can of mozzie spray would be a useful addition in the room. The journey to the airport the following morning was 200 Baht which was not too bad. If I need to overnight at Surat Thani airport in the future I would certainly stay here again.

Nice room with good staff

Good place for an overnight stay, only 5 minutes drive from the airport. It is quite far from ships and restaurants however the manager was kind enough to give us a lift anywhere we needed to go.

It's a quick stop to catch a flight. The owner offered to take us places because nothing was close by and he did give us a USB drive with movies. The only reason I had fun was because I stumbled upon a small restaurant where the locals poured me drink after drink and refused to take my money.

A good place for a one night stopover

I miscalculated flight & ferry connections etc so chose to stay near the airport. This is like a motel with units comprising of a large bedroom/ lounge & good sized bathroom/shower/toilet. Good aircon & cool inside when sweltering outside. Good TV, & comfortable bed. At first I thought no hot water but it took a bit of trial & error & all was good. You're in the middle of nowhere but the manager will take you to a shop or good restaurant (I was wary at first but it was an excellent clean place, low Thai prices and he didn't charge us 'taxi fare' thanks). Travelling can be so tiring but looking back I am glad I made this relaxing one-night-stopover before the next phase of my trip.
