While the location is wooded and somewhat remote you will be surrounded by neighboring cabins and residences occupied by other vacationers and full time residents and their pets. The cabin is less than 3 hours from Kansas City and St. Louis and less than a 1/2 day from Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Kansas. Major highways lead to the lake with blacktop roads up to the entry of the neighborhood. Neighborhood roads are gravel. Fairly steep hill to private boat dock & boat launch, easily accessible to drive to. Boat trailer parker at the bottom of hill near dock & launch. Lightly wooded and rocky property terrain. PETS: Pets are welcome! 1-2 dogs are allowed. Pet fee of $50 per stay does apply. No cats or other animals without prior permission from host. Failure to register pets, by adding pet guests to the reservation or by notifying host you are bringing pets, will result in a fine of $150, not including damages. NO TRAILER, RV, or OVERSIZED VEHICLE PARKING is allowed along the road or driveway to this property. Neighborhood road is narrow with tight turns restricting trailer, RV and oversized vehicle parking. There are designated parking areas for such vehicles within walking distance and within the neighborhood boundaries-please check with hostess if you plan to bring a boat, trailer, RV or other oversized vehicle. This adorable little house was perfect for a couples getaway! The host was very responsive and set everything up to make it so easy for us. There was a fireplace with everything you’d need, dog items (bowls, brush, doggie bags and even a lint roller) kayaks for us to borrow on the personal boat slip and the cutest oven to use. I’d highly recommend this place for a couple that enjoys a break from life. Town was a bit of a drive away but if you brought food then you wouldn’t have to leave the property for anything.
