They were gracious and accommodating and fed us breakfast while the room was prepared and we quickly got settled and were able to have the full day to explore the spectacular sites. They have many bikes to load to guests to explore the area with ease. While only a 10 minute walk to the gate, the overall area is immense and after thinking we would rent a golf cart, we needed more time and you couldn’t take on the public streets, so alas we needed a bicycle afterall. Great location with 2 7-11s within a short walk and a wonderful night market along the temple waterfront. Rooms are not well insulated from heat or noisy neighbors, but the neighborhood is generally quiet, less the blaring music from one across the street ending before 8pm. This time we chose to stay at Sukhothai Garden because of the great reviews. They are spot on. Sukhothai Garden is a lovely, family owned place near the main museum and a very short walk from the Historical Park entrance. Simple, clean rooms. Abundant and varied breakfast foods. Water and some fruit available throughout the day. Free bicycles to use around Sukhothai. Joy (the receptionist) and small staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to every need that we had. Great value for the price. We were here in the middle of the cool season, so I don’t know how the facilities and AC hold up to hot and rainy season conditions. Centrally located on a quiet street. Staff are friendly.
