The Fire Escape is a cozy hideaway, tucked away in the North Georgia Mountains. The adorable space is family friendly and reminiscent of a trip to Grandma's in it's woodland decor and the inherent urge to bake something delicious! Just off the living room is the DINING AREA and fully equipped KITCHEN. These spaces promise you will be able to cook and enjoy meal times together with everything you need to prepare something to eat. For coffee drinkers, the kitchen also has both a traditional coffee maker and a Keurig machine. Past the kitchen, find both the full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and the king bedroom at the end of the short hall. Up the stairs is the loft space where the 3 twins are. Here, find comfortable cushioned seat and a bright, natural-light filled space. OUTSIDE, there is a porch off the dining area with seating and a gas grill with a wonderful, forested view. Just over the trees, you can see the mountains, and in the cold months when the leaves are gone, you have more of a view of the mountain! Around the house, down the stairs to access the sloped backyard, you will find another sitting area with a swing to enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. Here at The Fire Escape, find peace and quiet tucked into a cozy cabin. Book and enjoy the North Georgia mountains! There are many places to rent a cabin online, but Suches Vacation Rentals doesn't just rent cabins. We provide guided check ins, recommendations on local hikes and sightseeing, and staff on hand from 9am to 9pm to help you with your stay. You will have the entire listing to yourself! \-------------------- BEFORE YOU BOOK: \-Area wide power outages are common in the mountains and no refunds will be given if an area wide power outage happens during your stay. No refunds will be given for weather related cancellations. \-Please be aware that you will be receiving a link to our booking contract via text within 24 hours of making your reservation. If you do not see it come through, please let us know as it must be signed. We are happy to answer any questions about its contents. \-This property has all private amenities and is self-check-in. We will text you information pertinent to your stay including a link to our booking agreement (shortly after reserving), a link to the property guidebook that includes the address and important directions (3days before check in), and the code to the smart lock on the door (around 2:30 pm the day of check in) \-Our cancellation policy is firm but if there are other dates you would like to move a reservation to. The fee for this will vary from $150 - $300 depending on the cabin, how close to the check in date your reservation currently is and availability. \-Pet Fee is $75 per dog. We only allow dogs. No cats. Pets shall always be secured within the boundaries of the property. If the property is not fenced, pets must be kept on a leash and always accompanied by the pet owner while outside. If you plan to go out and leave your dog at the cabin, please know that we require they be crated in your absence. \-If smoking takes place on the property during your stay, we will charge you $250 to deodorize and clean the property. \-No amplified sound equipment can be used outdoors between the hours of 10pm and 8am Sunday - Thursday and not between the hours of 11pm and 8 am Friday and Saturday. \- We cannot absolutely honor early check in requests, but we will do our best to accommodate them. Reservations requesting an early check in will not be refunded if we cannot honor the time requested. This is done to benefit the guest so that the property is completely clean and ready at their arrival at 4pm. The fireplace was also a nice and the bed was comfy. The Bad: Directions and navigation were a problem. Turns and signposts were not well marked/visible. When we were having trouble finding the property, the host said they couldn’t speak by phone, only text. When we told her we were having trouble, her reply included the GPS coordinates, which were not helpful. It also would have helped if we had been told a 4-wheel drive vehicle might be necessary. The mini-van wasn’t cutting it. The water pressure in the shower was also next to non-existent if you wanted a hot shower. The cabin was a great little place. Very cozy for a couple with tons of privacy. It was clean, communication was excellent and there were plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans. There are 3 beds upstairs if you have children. Road up to cabin is typical mountain sketchy so be very careful. However, we had a few complaints. Number one, the water pressure was very bad. The shower was a trickle, but when we called to inform the company, they did send someone out to fix the issue. It was better, but still very low pressure. Also, we arrived in the dark, and if you don't know where you are going, it is very easy to get lost. For future reference, the back lights should be kept on, or at least the front porch light should be turned on for anybody arriving. It will make it much easier for people traveling there. Other than that, it was cozy and warm.
