Check in was a breeze, we received plenty of clear communication, and there were existing baby gates at the top of the stairs and outside on the deck. Very clean and comfortable. The wifi password and conection were incorrect. The gas grill was rusted and not useable. And could not find broiler pan to use. Well stocked kitchen. Views were beautiful from porch. 2 person hot tub was very nice at night with the local church bells ringing. We did have issues with the downstairs TV working. The large one in the upstairs den worked well. The electric fireplace upstairs was a nice touch as well. As the owner states, you need to get your groceries before you arrive as the nearest one is at least 40 minutes away. Kennedy Creek Tavern was down the road and a good place to eat and visit with community. We would stay here again! But the house is too remote since anywhere you go would take a long drive. Our cellphone had no signal at all. Every time we would need to download the map in advance. Also the property manager paid no attention to what we need, only wanted to go through their procedure. When we requested a late checkout, we were told there would be a checkin the same day. Dec 10, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Frozen pond, church bells, and a beautiful drive We enjoyed a frosty, family weekend at the Burnett cottage. The temps dropped to 14 degrees our first night. We woke up to a peaceful, frozen pond and the most beautiful church bells while we enjoyed a slow morning. Our kids enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree, it was such a sweet detail. We ventured into Dahlonega for the day, but it was so nice to drive over the mountains as the sun was setting and come back to our little retreat after a day of shopping. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to stay in and cook. The electric fireplace was a nice touch for lounging in the living room with a good book or playing board games. The hot tub was lovely, but the frigid winds cut our hot tubbing time short. Our kids enjoyed a soak in the jetted tub instead, haha. Beds were comfy, linens and towels were plentiful, and we felt well taken care of by Joni. We look forward to visiting again for a longer visit someday. ##### Nicole S. My new house is actually less than a mile away, and i know I will highly recommend this place as a place for my guests to stay (if they dont want to stsy with me) everything was as advertised, the layout is hard to show on pictures,but it was REALLY clean and comfortable. It has a quaint eclectic feel to it. If you are looking for fancy and modern, this is not your location, but I loved it! My friends also loved it. I brought 2 of my dogs with me, and I would say the yard isnt ideal for dogs, but I love that they allowed them. Of course they dont want dogs on the furniture and mine dont understand that, so I was unable to have them out in the main living area, but they could go out on the wrap around porch with a baby gate up, or downstairs on the jacuzxi porch. There are steep stairs to go down to the bottom level, one of my dogs went down no problem, the other one said no thanks, lol. I will also say, I was so looking forward to using the hot tub after a long road trip, but it was still chilly and not warmed up, so I turned it up to get in it later that day and I had accidentally made it too hot, lol. So if you plan on using it, check it out and put to a lower temperature than the max one lol.Highly recommend this place, the church bells were beautiful!it on to use the ne ##### Wendy V. Jul 6, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Perfect Mountain Vacation Spot First of all, let me say that this area of the mountains in NE Ga is my family’s all time favorite, near Lake Winfield Scott Recreation Area. We booked this home because we were already familiar with the area and all the great things to do: fishing at Lake Winfield, wining and dining at Wolf Mountain Winery, shopping in Dahlonega, stopping into the Sunrise Store for boiled peanuts and fresh vegetables, picnics at Brasstown Bald, are just a few of the fun adventures you can have when you stay at this very quaint, well appointed home. The pond on the property was enjoyed by all and my 11 year old nephew caught a fish almost every time he set the pole up. You could actually see the fish swimming while on the porch. The sunset views from the house, watching the horses across the street, listening to the bullfrogs at night and having an owl visit you while relaxing in the hot tub were all highlights of our stay. We enjoyed the spaciousness, privacy, peace and quiet. Thank goodness for the internet connection as cell service is not good in this area. We were able to stay in touch with our family back home when you set your phone to also include WiFi calling. The trip was a Five Star rating in our book! ##### renee c.
