This newly constructed in 2024 home is your waterfront retreat on 1.5 wooded acres, nestled right on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan in Sturgeon Bay! With 2 bedrooms, a third private versatile room for sleeping or lounging, and 2 baths, the Resting Place comfortably sleeps 5 guests, making it ideal for families seeking a tranquil getaway. As you enter on the ground floor, a full flight of stairs leads you to the inviting second-floor living space where panoramic views of the lake await. Home Truths: The waterfront access on this property is rocky and shallow. It's not the best for swimming. Just minutes away is Door County Land Trust Nature Preserve which has a sandy beach and is great for swimming. Guests do not have access to garage The entrance to the home is on the ground level and the living space is located on the upper level. Gas fireplace is for aesthetics only and is not for guest use. This home is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings. This is a most beautiful comfortable home with lovely decor and all the amenities we could need. Then there is the property located right on Lake Michigan with a rock filled beach (my favorite), picnic table, comfortable chairs, a chair swing and fire pit. Quiet, peaceful and simply beautiful. The house itself is charming, with a lovely, cozy little kitchen, a comfortable living room, and three well-appointed bedrooms. Everything was well-maintained, and all the tech, including the Wi-Fi and TV, worked flawlessly. My wife, our two children, and I felt right at home here. The location is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle but still want access to amenities when needed. It’s just a 15-minute drive to Sturgeon Bay, where we found plenty of great restaurants and shops to explore. We really appreciated the peace and tranquility of the area, combined with the convenience of being close to town. The house was very clean, well furnished and well stocked with the amenities needed for our stay. Any concerns that we usually have staying at a rental are not a concern here. The linens are new and fresh and the pillows and beds were comfortable. All of the necessities in the bathroom were provided and were fresh and new. The kitchen was outfitted very well if you enjoy preparing your own meals. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, but the commute to many of the attractions was only 10-20 minutes depending on where we were going. We didn't need much communication with the owner, but they replied to our one question almost immediately.
