This quaint Hideaway is nestled half way between Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay. Just a short ten minute drive you can have a lovely day at the beach with amazing Door County views. Come back home, start the grill, enjoy a beverage while cooking a meal for all to enjoy. After a delicious meal and lots of laughs, you all enjoy some quiet country ambiance under the stars on the back patio. Continue the the fun and laughs until the wee hours of the night or your hearts content. Or take an afternoon stroll down the Ahnapee trail taking in the local wildlife and beautiful scenery. And the lot was very spacious. We enjoyed sitting out on the back patio enjoying our morning coffee. It is a nice rural neighborhood. We enjoyed seeing the horses and hearing the rooster crow of a morning. It was nice to meet the owner of the property as she lives in the basement of the home. The internet kept going out which made the TV unusable. And the cycling of either the sump pump or else the sewer lift pump was loud enough in one of the bedrooms to interfere with sleeping. The only thing we would suggest would be a larger water heater to accommodate large groups - Tracie mentioned it was smaller in the notes but after a long day, it would have been nice to have warm showers. Plenty of hot water available at the master bath sink and other faucets in kitchen and second bath. Appeared an adjustment to the shower faucet is necessary -- it would only move a quarter turn. Recommend a plumber inspect and adjust the shower and the dishwasher be repaired/replaced. Appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. ##### Gerard W. The home was extremely well maintained and equipped. We hosted a small gathering for my mother’s 90th birthday. There was good inside and outside seating, the kitchen was the best equipped of any place I have rented. Tracie allowed us to check in early to set up food which was very helpful. She even sent a bouquet for Mom from a neighboring business. She even offered to mail my grandson’s blanket to him after we left it behind. I would definitely stay here again. Host was incredibly responsive to any questions that we had, check in was a breeze, and the property was beautiful!! We brought our pups with us, so the huge backyard was amazing for letting them run! House had anything and everything that we could possibly need. Our host was super helpful and gracious. She allowed us an additional 2 hours to check out as our 3 husbands participated in the Sturgeon Bay bicycle event! Home was clean and more than spacious. We never knew she was home in the downstairs apartment. The side yard is large and next stay we’ll have to remember to bring out croquet set.
