The bed was comfortable, the en suite was clean, there was a portable heater when it got a little cold at night. It is true to say the hotel was full of charcter and one could easily imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday.... however time has clearly taken its toll. It seemed to have a variety of characters staying there..... Certainly one may feel vulnerable in the sirrounding area.... but the car park was close and included in the cost of the room. We have no complaints whatsoever. They say you get what you pay for and that was very true. I booked this hotel by mistake and because it was non refundable i decided to stay there anyway. Furniture grubby, carpet dirty and stained, curtains hanging off, towels stained. I was afraid to look at the mattress so slept on top and i definitely wasnt showering to use the towels. I was shocked to hear that the whole of the second floor was being used for temporary accommodation. Right from the entrance to the rooms. The rooms are very dirty, toilets are dirty, window broken, paint peeling off everywhere. No coffee mug, however a kettle is given. The chair is broken. There was a lot of noise during night, probably by youngsters and drunkard locals which disturbed the sleep. The bed was super uncomfortable, felt like I was just laying on springs There is so much noise!
