I am very glad we chose to stay slightly outside of the city to be at this hotel. Great staff, gorgeous room with lovely decor. The house red wine was delicious and the heated rooftop pool was a delight. We borrowed bikes from the hotel and cycled around one of the lakes which was great. The property is gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and had everything we needed. The winery on site has amazing wine. The restaurant was great. The pool area was perfect. The pool is heated to allow usage on cooler days (but not hot tub warm). The location is perfect if attending an event at friends arena. The hotel is kind of cool and the restaurants good. For those who are more eager about wines, this is the place to be with a vast selection. Also a popular place for conference. As I usually judge hotels by their gyms, I must admit that I felt it was a bit on the smaller side and cramped. There was room for 6 people, so it might need some expansion. And a few TVs in the gym would not hurt eventhough the image was ok. A mix of poor design with a beautiful cover. And well trained and badly trained staff. Underfloor heating with individual controls for each room was a good idea, covering the heated floor in insulaing cork so that rooms take 45 minutes to warm up was a stupid one. A broken kettle in a room shows that the rooms are not properly checked. The person on the reception desk when we arrived and left was helpful, caring and well trained. The staff in the breakfast area thought that cleaning a table meant sweeping crumbs onto chairs and the floor instead of removing them. We went there because it was near the motorway and had parking suitable for our car.
