Nestled among mature trees and just a short walk to Thunder Bay, this peaceful cabin offers a calm retreat for couples, solo travellers, or anyone seeking a quiet place to recharge. The Space The cabin combines warm, well-designed simplicity with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The efficient layout provides a cozy living area, fully equipped kitchenette, and a comfortable sleeping space. Furnished with care and surrounded by gardens and forest, it’s an inviting base for exploring the area or for simply slowing down. Step outside into your private yard, complete with Adirondack chairs, a propane fire pit, and a covered outdoor dining area. Whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning or unwinding in the evening, the space is designed to help you settle in and breathe a little easier. Located on the edge of our property, the cabin is just a quick 2-minute walk to Thunder Bay Beach and a short drive to Canoe Bay, Stillwater Bluffs, and countless outdoor trails. The Sunshine Coast Trail is moments away, making the cabin a welcoming start or stopover for hikers. The cabin sits 10 minutes from the Saltery Bay Ferry Terminal and 25 minutes from downtown Powell River — close enough for convenience, yet tucked away for quiet. The location was in a pretty forest & all the comforts we needed. We come to Powell River a couple times a year to visit family & we would love to stay again in the warmer months. Lots of nice little touches in our room & I would have given 5 stars instead of 4 except there was a lot of cobwebs that I think are just common in the winter months & sometimes difficult to see in certain light while cleaning. Yes it is tiny but the layout is set up perfectly and makes the home feel bigger than it is. Our only regret is only being available for 1 night. Being close to the Saltery Bay ferry is a huge plus as well. The host Melanie is very attentive and helpful. The area put out a boil water advisory, and Melanie immediately dropped off clean drinking water to ensure we were still comfortable. I did feel bad as the checkout time on VRBO is set at 11am, but it was 10am when I noticed the guidebook in the room says checkout is 9am. I wonder if that could be cleared up between the host and guest in future stays so that guests know to be out by a certain time. ##### Kevin M. So this small place worked well for us. We ate our meals on the porch and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Woods. The beach is a 5-minute walk, which is phone to explore. Melanie has made the place very comfortable, and she has stalked the kitchen well. Great towels for the bathroom. And far from any traffic. That's what we were looking for.
