Beautiful Cabin with Amazing views! Available now!! The Walker Ford Cabin sits on two acres right on the banks of the upper Meramec River. Enjoy panoramic views of the river and the bottom hay fields. Bring chairs and sit next to the river, take a swim, dip a worm or just watch the turtles sun on the logs. Relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine watching for the occasional bald Eagle to soar up the river. The cabin has been newly renovated and is ready for guests. There is a beautiful rock fireplace, kitchenette, a queen size bed, queen pull out sofa and a dining table in the main cabin. The back sitting area has beautiful river views along with a twin sleeper sofa. The only thing you need when you come to our cabin is food, charcoal (if needed) and toiletries. The kitchen is fully stocked with what you may need to cook a meal and the linens and towels are also provided. There are several wineries and a canoe/raft outfitter within a mile away or bring your own canoe or kayak and float from our local access Birds Nest right down to your cabin. Shuttle service available...$35 local access. Inquire for more details. There is a BBQ grill and washers game for your use. If you are wanting to add more guests to your party we have options. It was very clean and modern looking. It had all the necessary kitchen items we needed, other than salt, but not a big deal. The bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated the nice hand soap that was provided in the kitchen area and bathroom. The view of the river was amazing. The location is closely located to river resorts if visitors want to float, kayak, canoe, etc. There’s a Country Mart about 10 minutes down the road where we bought some groceries. Firewood is not included, so you’ll have to buy some. We visited the Onondaga State Park and visited the cave, which was super cool. It was about a 25 minute drive to the park, so not a bad drive. We were just wanting a quick getaway that wasn’t too far from home and had a nice river view. We spent each night sitting around it enjoying the flora and fauna as the sun set and colored the sky and river. We even had deer come straight up to the patio while we were sitting there! Our stay was a "Momcation" for us to get away, relax, and recharge and this cabin was the perfect environment to do just that. We are already planning a return trip in the Spring!! ##### Shelly L. We have stayed tons of places and this was one of the nicest places we have found. The cabin was cute and clean. The access to water was way better than we expected, it’s actually an old boat ramp. We loved it so much last year that we decided to take the 1000-mile drive to stay here again this summer. The cabin was perfect for our needs--rustic but with all the creature comforts, pet-friendly but clean and meticulously maintained, with a great yard and easy river access, secluded but close to town. Our dog absolutely loved swimming in the river! After two weeks at virtually any vacation rental, we're usually bouncing off the walls to get back home. Not this time. We would have gladly stayed longer, and we'd certainly love to rent this property again. It was that good. And the host certainly made us feel welcome with her great communication whenever we had any questions. ##### Donald W.
