There is seating for three at the granite kitchen counter with accent lighting. The living area has a flat screen TV with a DVD player and a gas fireplace. The bathroom has been nicely updated with a granite vanity. Located on the free city bus route (Steamboat Springs Transit - SST), there are two stops by the complex, Lower Rockies and Upper Rockies. This route loops around the Rockies and makes various stops at the mountain area on its route back to the Mountain Village/Gondola Transit Center. A Mountain Resorts shuttle is on-call (winter only) nightly from 6pm-10:30 pm for easy evening trips to downtown Steamboat Springs or the grocery store. I gave it 3 stars due to the location (which was great, a 10 minute walk to the gondola) and the pool. The property itself is old and though it has had some remodeling (newish granite counters), it’s still old. It smells musty like dirty carpet mixed with a slight scent of gas from the pilot light in the fireplace. The windows do nothing to insulate and the unit gets VERY hot in the afternoon, like roasting hot, unless you keep everything shut up tight all day. I stayed here with my husband and daughter and it felt too small for us.
