If you're looking for a newer condo with all the upgrades, one that's priced a little more reasonably than those right at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort, The Pines at Ore House is a great option. This complex is situated one mile from the base of the ski resort, right on the route of the free shuttle bus that stops by every 10 minutes and runs late into the evening. As locals, we use this same shuttle to go skiing and head into downtown Steamboat Springs for dining and nightlife. You'll be within walking distance of the grocery stores, several restaurants, and discounted ski and snowboard rentals at Ski Haus, with an outdoor gazebo, two shared hot tubs, and heated changing rooms on the grounds to welcome you back home. The condo is cozy and comfortable, offering a living room with a suede sectional couch, a river rock gas fireplace, and a large flatscreen TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a great meal, and the small dining table provides seating for four (with additional seats at the bar). There's a spacious patio with a gas grill and chairs. The main bedroom has a king bed and an attached bathroom and closet, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the second full bathroom is in the hallway. There's also a sleeper sofa in the living room if you need a bit more space. Things to Know Full kitchen Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The location is great, only a five minute drive to the slopes and parking, and shuttles right outside the complex. We cooked in a few nights and Safeway is right around the corner. It’s also a short drive to the charming western downtown. The condo was clean and sufficient for a ski week. We did find some kitchen utensils less than clean, so I would recommend to at least rinse them off before using. Unfortunately Vacasa did not provide us with a code to get in to the jacuzzi area, and they never gave it to us even after a lengthy phone call with a representative who had no knowledge of our area or property. Fortunately we came across other renters who gave us the code. So make sure you get the code from Vacasa before your trip if taking a jacuzzi is your thing (good luck with that!)Overall a pleasant stay otherwise. ##### Gunnar M. The second bedroom is pretty small and there is not much room to move around. The ceiling fan made a big difference in cooling things down, unfortunately the larger room did not have a ceiling fan and it was stuffy during the night. TV’s are nice to have but we lost our satellite connection for over 24 hours in the smaller room. With only a couch in the living room, people had to sit on kitchen chairs to watch TV and visit. ##### Genny W. Plenty of kitchenware and fully functioning appliances. Dinning room chairs need some attention. They were very loose and unstable. Being 75 years old, we were very concerned about crashing to the floor and breaking some bones. Other than that, we would highly recommend the place for a stay in Steamboat. It is very clean as well. \*TIP\* get your rentals from Ski Haus. They are very nice and you will receive a coupon for 10% your beer and liquor from their Ski Haus liquor store across the street. There is a Safeway directly across from that as well. I hope everyone enjoys this place as much as we did! ##### Alivia V. The place was clean and well equipped with super comfy beds and amenities. This is a great location for winter and summer. You definitely need a car in the summer as the bus doesn't go by as frequently but in the winter you can get away with not having a car. The grocery store and liquor store are right behind the parking spots as you drive in and the jacuzzi is across the walkway in front of the unit. Thanks so much for an awesome stay. ##### Rafael B.
