The history of CABIN #5 "LOVE NEST" sings soft melodies of romance, intimacy and true love. Two individuals,  a woman well into her sixties, the gentleman in his seventies. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of this unforgettable newlywed couple. They were so generous with their hearts as they shared a story you only read in books. We promised they would always have a home here at Lydia, for together, they were the only family they had to speak of. We couldn’t be happier to be a part of young love no matter what age you are. This will always be their "LOVE NEST", while their loving energy lives with in these walls. They don’t get the chance to visit much, but they do keep in touch. “We feel reborn” they said, and we are honored to be part of their once upon a time!

Love nest Summer time!

This was our second trip to Lydia . We stayed at the Love Nest for 4 nights in July . It was exactly as listed and the location was great because it is tucked back a bit in the woods off the main road. It was very quiet and the entire trip was the relaxation we needed. Stores etc are pretty close by all within a 1/2 hour drive. Thank you! for the great stay!

No heat

We were originally booked for the old dam cabin, however, something happened with the heating system and a potential electrical fire could have occurred, The staff was absolutely wonderful in providing us with an alternative cabin but unfortunately the heat didn’t work in this one so we had to vacate and head back home. My girlfriend had just had spinal surgery so she couldn’t keep moving to different spots. The events were unfortunate and beyond anyone’s control but the staffs service was beyond perfect, we will definitely try and book another trip to Lydia based solely on the professionalism and kindness of every staff member we encountered, especially Josh and Buck.

Relaxing Stay

We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed our stay. The inside cabin ceilings could use a good cobweb cleaning. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was delicious!

Loved the Love Nest

We had a great time celebrating our 33rd anniversary! Lydia Mountain is a great place and everyone and everything was perfect. The only thing I would suggest is to have a map of everything. Either as a brochure or on the website that could be printed out. But that is a minor detail. The staff was very nice and quick to help with any questions! We'll definitely be back!

Love Nest - Just as we expect!

We really enjoyed our stay! This was our 6th? stay at Lydia Cabins. We try different cabins every so often and while this wasnt our favorite, it was just due to personal preference! This nest has a cute firepit setup out front which we did not use due to the temperature/weather, but would be a great feature in the Fall months to enjoy! Cozy with all the needed amenities! The gas fireplace keeps you nice and toasty! Great hot tub! The coffee maker was a surprise with a brew pot on one side and a K-cup brewer on the other! We visit Lydia the same time every year and will continue this tradition!
